Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 600

Amelia followed Francisco into the private room. It wasn’t long before Paxton rolled George in, his wheelchair gliding smoothly over the polished floor.

George glanced at Amelia, then let his gaze drift to Francisco standing behind her. A sly smile crept onto his face.

“Ryan really goes all out for you, huh? Even sends you his right-hand man, Francisco,” George said, clapping slowly. “Ms. Sadinton, you must be pretty impressive.”

Amelia’s voice was cool and even. “Mr. Packman, would you mind if we spoke alone?”

“Sure.” George agreed without a second thought.

She wasn’t surprised. George had that air about him—totally self-absorbed, always in control. Guys like him never saw women as a real threat.

Francisco bent down and leaned in a little, his voice low. “Ms. Sadinton, I’ll be just outside.”

He was really talking to George, not her.

George gave a dismissive snort and nodded at Paxton. “You wait outside too.”

“Yes, sir.”

The door closed, leaving just Amelia and George in the room.

“So, what’s so urgent you had to see me right away?” George lounged in his chair, eyeing Amelia like she was some kind of interesting puzzle.

Amelia met his gaze. “Mr. Packman, would you let me check your pulse?”

George narrowed his eyes, trying to figure out what she was up to.

She kept going. “I know Ryan only got caught up with your family because of me. For you, his biggest use is keeping you alive—he’s just a blood donor. But you and I both know his blood isn’t a cure. It just buys you time.”

George’s face stiffened for a second, and Amelia could tell she was right. She pushed on. “My grandfather is Tony. Honestly, he’s one of the best doctors out there. He’s too sick to practice now, but I’m his only student and I’ve learned everything he knows. George, I might be able to actually help you.”

George straightened his sleeve, moving slowly and deliberately. “So, Ms. Sadinton. Did you find anything interesting?”

Amelia didn’t hesitate. “Your pulse is weak and shallow. You’re exhausted—your blood’s depleted. You’ve been sick for years. What you really need is something that helps your body heal itself. I have a prescription you could try.”

George looked at her, weighing her words. “And how do I know if it’s medicine or poison?”

“You’ve got plenty of doctors. They can check my prescription if you’re worried. Trusting me just gives you another shot at living. If it doesn’t work, you lose nothing. And I’m not about to risk my life for you,” Amelia said, honest and direct. “I’m not doing this for you. I want to save Ryan. I owe him too much to just stand by and watch you drain him dry.”

That seemed to satisfy George.

“Alright. If you can actually cure me, I won’t need that bastard’s blood anymore.”

Neither he nor the rest of the Packman family had ever really seen Ryan as a person…

Amelia nodded. “Then it’s settled. I’ll treat you, and you’ll let Ryan go. When I finish the medicine, I’ll let you know so you can send someone to pick it up. I’ll check on you every weekend.”
