Chapter 315
Reven’s Pov
I sighed as I leaned back against the dining table, watching my children eat.
Their small hands moved eagerly as they reached for their food their innocent laughter filling the

car, the constant
I fed them slowly, patiently, making sure they ate well. When they were finally full, complaining and rubbing their little stomachs, I smiled softly and lifted them one after the other.
“Come on,” I murmured gently. “Time for bed.”
I carried them upstairs to their room, laying them down carefully. I tucked the surrounding blankets, smoothing their hair and pressing soft kisses to their foreheads.
“Sleep well,” I whispered. “Mama is right here.”
When I was sure they were asleep, I quietly stepped out of the room and closed the door behind me. The smile faded instantly.
Today has been a hard day.
No, today had been unbearable.
My chest felt tight as I walked down the hallway. I needed space. I needed air. I needed something that didn’t suffocate me with memories and fear.
I headed toward the garden, stopping briefly in the kitchen to grab a few snacks. I didn’t have much appetite, but I knew I needed something in my system.
The night greeted me with cool air as I stepped outside. The garden was calm, bathed in moonlight. The silence was soothing, almost deceptive.
I sat on one of the wooden benches and placed the snacks beside me. Pulling out a magazine, I flipped through the pages, forcing myself to focus on the words.
For a moment, it worked.
Then I heard it.
A faint rustling sound came from the bushes near the edge of the garden.
I froze.
My eyes lifted slowly, scanning the shadows. My heart skipped, but I forced myself to breathe.
It’s probably just an animal, I told myself.
I went back to reading.
The sound came again.
Closer.

I lowered the magazine slowly.
Before I could react, a massive black wolf stepped out of the bushes. His fur glistened under the moonlight, ad his eyes. cold, sea–blue eyes locked onto mine.
Hatred burned in them.
My breath hitched as I stood up, my heart slamming violently against my chest. Instinct screame felt rooted to the ground.
The wolf stared at me for a long, terrifying moment.
Then his body began to shift.
Bones cracked. Fur receded. In seconds, a man stood before me.
My blood ran cold.
I recognized him instantly.
The rogue.
The same man I had seen weeks ago with Vera in the woods.
“What are you doing here?” I demanded, my voice trembling despite my effort to sound strong.
A slow, cruel smile curved his lips. “So you really are Raven.”
My fingers curled into fists. “What do you want from me?”
“Perfect,” he said calmly. “Then this will be simple. I want you out of Vera’s business.”
but my legs
I let out a sharp laugh. “You must be joking. If anything, Vera is the one in my space. And I don’t share what’s mine.”
His smile widened. “You’ve got guts.”
“And if anyone should leave,” I continued coldly, “it’s her.”
He stepped closer. “I’ve handled far more stubborn people than you. You’re just a piece of cake.”
My heart pounded. “Then what do you want?” I asked sharply. “Name your price.”
He paused, clearly amused. “You really want to negotiate?”
“If it keeps my children safe,” I said firmly, “I’ll hear you out.”
His eyes darkened. “Tell me, Raven. What will you give to stay alive?”
I met his gaze without flinching. “Nothing.”
He raised an eyebrow.
“The only thing I want,” I continued, my voice steady, “is for Vera to tell Alpha Ethan the truth and leave the pack. That’s it.”
Silence fell between us.
Then he laughed.
A deep, cruel laugh that sent chills down my spine.

“Never,” he said flatly.
My chest tightened. “Why?”
His expression hardened. “Because I’ve waited seven years for this.”
Seven years.
“I waited,” he continued darkly, “seven long years to destroy Alpha Ethan. To make him suffer the
My heart dropped. “What are you talking about?”
“He took everything from me,” the rogue growled. “My pack, My life.”
I swallowed hard.
“And now,” he said, stepping closer, “I finally have my way in. Ver is my key.”
“You’re using her,” I whispered.
He smirked. “She’s using him. I’m using her. And you,” his eyes raked over me, “are in the way.”
“You won’t win,” I said firmly.
He leaned in. “No one can stop me. Not Alpha Ethan. Not the council. And certainly not you.”
I took a step back.
He moved faster.
me suffer.
I turned to run, but his hand closed around my wrist, yanking me back violently. My back slammed against the garden wall as pain exploded through my arm.
“Let go of me!” I shouted.
“Being stubborn won’t end well for you,” he said coldly. “Choose wisely: stay out of Vera’s business, or choose the afterlife.”
“No,” I gasped.

He grabbed my neck and lifted me off the ground. His grip tightened mercilessly as my feet dangled uselessly.
Air refused to come.
