On the Ruins of His Regret I Soar novel Chapter 283

Jessica drove straight to The George Group.

She called Anthony. “I’m downstairs at your building. Do you have a minute? There’s something I need to talk to you about.”

He came down moments later.

Jessica looked up at him and smiled. “Mr. George.”

Anthony’s hand flinched, his fingertips turning pale. “When… when did you find out?”

“A little while ago,” she admitted. “Things have been so hectic, I never had a chance to say anything.”

He remained silent, his stern features tinged with an uncharacteristic, almost imperceptible awkwardness.

“Do you have time?” she asked.

He nodded instinctively. “Yes.”

“We need to see the CEO of the streaming platform, but he’s shutting us out,” she explained. “Is there any way you can help us get a meeting with him?”

Anthony frowned. “Albert Collins won’t see you?”

Jessica was about to reply but glanced at the time. “Can we talk on the way?”

Hearing the growing panic in her voice, Anthony quickly interjected, “Don’t worry. I understand. I won’t let Albert Collins take your series down.”

Jessica was flooded with relief.

When they arrived back at the streaming company, Rebecca rushed out to meet them. Her eyes lit up when she saw Anthony. A wave of calm washed over her; with him here, things would be alright. Even Mr. Collins had to give Anthony George face.

Anthony took out his phone and made a call. A few minutes later, Mr. Collins’s assistant came downstairs personally. “Mr. George, Mr. Collins invites you up for a chat.”

Anthony glanced at Jessica. She subtly gestured for Rebecca to follow them, but the assistant smiled. “Mr. George, Mr. Collins only invited you. He didn’t mention anyone else.”

Rebecca’s expression fell. She squeezed Jessica’s hand and gave a slight shake of her head.
