Once She Came Like a Flash novel Chapter 82

**Faith Didn’t Survive Time – by Aadi Sharma**
**Chapter 82**

From the very beginning, everything had been orchestrated by Renee with meticulous precision.

Even the act of feigning a request for help from Adam was a calculated move in her elaborate scheme. Deep down, she understood that he would inevitably prioritize his own interests and leave her in the dust.

The moment Adam had publicly acknowledged their divorce, the actual dissolution of their marriage became merely a formality—an inevitable conclusion waiting to unfold.

As for Daniel, he had swiftly uploaded the incriminating video to his tablet right after the incident. Yet, in a bid to ensure that the situation didn’t appear overly contrived, he had chosen to withhold its revelation until now.

Renee turned her gaze towards the police officers, her voice tinged with urgency. “I trust you will conduct a thorough investigation and exonerate me, as well as the others involved. These chefs came here driven by goodwill, eager to support a noble cause. If their reputations suffer because of this debacle, the blame will rest squarely on my shoulders.”

One of the officers, with a spark of recognition, exclaimed, “Wait a minute! That man in the video is Zachary Lane, the state banquet chef who appeared on that popular variety show a while back! And the other one? That’s Xavier Dalton, another renowned state banquet chef!”

“You’re absolutely right! It’s them!” another officer chimed in, excitement bubbling in his voice.

“And those two pastry chefs? I follow them on social media. They’re influencers with millions of followers!” someone else added, eyes widening with realization.

“They’re always involved in charity work, sharing videos of their efforts. It all makes sense now,” another officer concluded, nodding sagely.

“Looks like Ms. Whitley really is innocent after all,” one officer remarked, a hint of admiration in his tone.

“Exactly. Those chefs wouldn’t jeopardize their careers over a fabricated story,” another officer confirmed.

Leon, assessing the unfolding situation with a keen eye, swiftly commanded the officers beside him, “Follow me. We need to locate the man in this video right away.”

“Officer, please wait!” Renee grasped the sleeve of one of the officers, her face streaked with tears once more. “I need to file a report!”
