Oops I Banged the CEO novel Chapter 54

“Let’s head upstairs and grab a table,” Grace said, smiling. “Mr. Hamilton told me I’ll be getting a director’s salary this month, so lunch is on me today.”

“Really? That’s awesome!” Yvonne’s cheeks flushed with excitement.

Back when money was tight, company lunches always made her anxious. She worried about overspending and felt uncomfortable accepting favors—she didn’t want to owe anyone.

But now, with some old ties finally severed, she felt lighter. She could accept others’ kindness without anxiety—she knew she could pay it back next time.

Yvonne loved the steak set at this restaurant.

They arrived and chose a quiet, cozy corner to sit in.

Yvonne was about to take the seat next to Grace, but before she could, Grace headed to the front desk, chatting with the host about something.

Probably using her employee badge to get some staff perks.

Yvonne sat down quietly and flipped through the menu.

A few moments later, Nydia came in.

She wasn’t alone—a tall, handsome man walked beside her. He looked to be about six foot two, with an air of polished refinement, the kind you’d expect from someone who grew up in a well-to-do family. Clean-cut, poised, and understated.

He looked vaguely familiar.

“Yvonne, this is my friend Martin Powell—he’s also our company’s creative director.”

Martin smiled and extended his hand with gentlemanly ease. “Nice to meet you, I’m Martin.”

Yvonne stood up and shook his hand politely. “Nice to meet you too. Just call me Yvonne.”

“I’ve seen you before—at the company’s New Year party.”

Yvonne paused, her dark eyes widening in surprise as she tried to recall.

Martin’s smile was warm, his tone gentle. “It was from a distance. It’s normal you don’t remember.”

“So you saw her once and were blown away, right?” Nydia teased, winking to lighten the mood. “First time I met Yvonne, I was stunned too. She’s a total heartbreaker—guys and girls both fall for her.”

Yvonne laughed, her eyes soft and bright, with a hint of exasperation. “You’re going to say all the nice things before I get a chance, aren’t you?”

Nydia grinned mischievously.

“I’ll have what you’re having,” Martin said, his voice gentle.

“Medium-rare filet?” Yvonne asked, glancing up from the menu.

“Yes, thank you,” Martin said, lifting his water glass in a polite toast.

“It’s nothing,” Yvonne replied quietly, continuing to browse the menu.

Once Nydia took her seat, she dropped her usual lively persona and simply sat there, chin in hand, watching the attractive duo across from her.

Her eyes sparkled, practically shining with excitement like someone watching their favorite romantic pairing in a movie.

She’d turned into a grinning matchmaker.

Meanwhile, in his office, Marico signed off on the last document, capped his pen, and picked up his phone. No new messages.

At the door, William checked his watch, waited for a moment, then knocked and entered. “Mr. Hamilton, your wife is at lunch—next door at the bistro. And there’s a young man with her.”

Marico’s brow furrowed as he looked up, his tone darkening. “A young man?”
