Oops I Banged the CEO novel Chapter 77

Yvonne immediately flicked on her hazard lights, panic rising in her chest.

It was her first accident, and the man’s aggressive shouting had shaken her to the core. Her hands trembled uncontrollably on the steering wheel, fear flooding her senses.

“Nydia, are you okay?” Yvonne’s face had gone pale as she turned to check on her friend in the passenger seat.

“I’m fine. What about you? Are you hurt?” Nydia’s voice was gentle, her eyes filled with concern for Yvonne, who was clearly rattled.

Yvonne shook her head, then glanced nervously at the burly, scowling man standing outside her door. Forcing herself to act, she pulled out her phone to call the police, then steeled her nerves and reached for the door handle.

“Hey, what are you waiting for? Get out of the car!” the man bellowed, pounding on her window. He yanked at the door handle, rocking the entire car with his force.

Cars slowed as they passed, curious drivers glancing over but none stopping to help. The brief attention faded as easily as it came, leaving Yvonne feeling isolated and exposed. Even from inside the car, an overwhelming sense of danger pressed in on her—something she’d never felt before.

“It’s alright. I’m with you. If he tries to lay a hand on you, I’ll fight him myself,” Nydia said, trying to soothe her, and unbuckled her seatbelt to get out first.

Yvonne took a deep breath. There was no escaping this; she had to face it.

She unlocked the door, just about to step out, when suddenly she caught sight of someone approaching—a tall, lean figure radiating an icy composure. With a single movement, he grabbed the angry man by the collar and yanked him aside, his expression dangerous as he fixed him with a chilling glare. “It’s just a car. Is that any reason to lose your temper at a woman?”

The angry man froze for a split second, then, rage flaring, swung a fist at Marico.

Marico calmly raised his other hand, catching the punch with precision. In one swift motion, he twisted the man’s arm behind his back and drove a knee into his leg, releasing him so that the man crumpled to the ground. If the man hadn't slammed against his own car, he might have landed face-first on the pavement.
