Dr. Fowler took her pulse, contemplated, and examined Ariana's face. After a series of examinations, she smiled warmly, "Mrs. Stone, you slightly have a cold constitution. However, if you are eager to conceive, you will get pregnant quickly through an acupuncture session."

Ariana withdrew her hand, looking at her incredulously, "Is it really that miraculous?"

Upon hearing this, Dr. Fowler arched an eyebrow at Ariana. Perhaps she didn't appreciate being doubted, so she responded dismissively, "Of course, as long as you didn't interfere."

Ariana paused momentarily, frowning at her.

When Ariana spotted the long, thin silver needle, she felt like all the air had been knocked out of her lungs.

Lambert happened to be in a meeting when his phone suddenly vibrated.

He was about to turn it off, but when he saw it was Ariana calling, a small smirk played upon his lips and he answered the call.

"Oh? Are you missing me?"

All the senior executives, including Beverly, were startled to see Lambert answering a call during a meeting. Their eyes were all drawn to him.

Once the call got through, Ariana, not bothering to respond to Lambert's flirt, quickly said, "Lambert! I don’t want to be needled!"

He frowned, "Needled?"

After grasping the situation, Lambert rubbed his forehead with a tinge of helplessness.

He then stood and said, "I have some matters to attend to, let's adjourn the meeting."

Seeing Lambert preparing to leave, a jealous look crossed Beverly’s face. Who couldn't tell that the call just now was from Ariana?

Ariana had been trying every trick to delay until the two elders' faces turned somewhat displeased, just as Lambert happened to arrive.

Ariana let out a sigh of relief seeing her savior had arrived.

"Lambert? Why are you here?” Jolene asked with a surprised expression.
