Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 473

Stefan uttering the word "help" was definitely no trivial matter.

Lambert instantly straightened his expression.

"Go on," he said quietly.

Stefan pressed his lips together before speaking. "My daughter... due to an accident before her birth, she has some health complications. I remember you have connections with doctors abroad. I need you to help me arrange a consultation. Her condition can't wait any longer."

"Some health complications" was putting it mildly.

The doctors had diagnosed her with a congenital heart condition.

If left untreated, it would only worsen with time. Meanwhile, Allison, traumatized by the difficult birth and suffering severe blood loss before reaching the hospital, had also been left in fragile health.

Perhaps blaming their daughter’s congenital heart defect on Stefan’s past romantic entanglements, Allison had moved back to her parents’ home without a word.

Now, she treated him like a stranger.

This was one of the reasons Stefan had pursued his ruthless vendetta against the Kendrick family.

After orchestrating the downfall of the former mayor, he had deliberately left just enough clues for Tina and her brother to trace it back to him. Both were sharp—it didn’t take them long to figure out the motive.

Soon after, Lexi was slapped by Tina and completely cut off from the family.

With their father’s assets frozen due to corruption charges, Lexi found herself penniless overnight.

Her half-brother, of course, wanted nothing to do with her.

Now, she and her mother were living in dire straits—nothing like their former lavish lifestyle.

But even this wasn’t enough to quell Stefan’s fury.

His daughter's illness weighed heavily on his mind, robbing him of sleep night after night. In just a short span of time, Stefan had visibly withered, his once-vibrant demeanor now replaced by a haggard exhaustion. His son, Shawn, was left in the care of the family butler.

After listening to their conversation, Angelo chuckled and turned to Stefan with a grin. "Hey, did you forget there's still one more person in this office?"

In no mood for banter, Stefan ignored him outright.

Angelo clicked his tongue in mild annoyance before continuing, "I happen to know a highly skilled cardiovascular specialist."

As expected, Stefan snapped to attention in an instant. His eyes lit up with urgency. "Seriously?"

Enjoying the sudden shift in importance, Angelo gave a haughty nod.

"Contact them immediately," Stefan demanded without hesitation.

The blunt command caught Angelo off guard for a second—since when did people make requests so shamelessly? But considering the man's distress over his daughter, he decided to let it slide. With a shrug, he teased, "And how exactly do you plan to thank me once this is done?"

"How much do you want?" Stefan shot back.

Angelo: "..."

Lambert subtly massaged his temples, suppressing a headache. "If this is about her condition, we shouldn’t waste any more time."

Angelo sighed, pressing his lips together.

Ariana instantly realized he was bargaining for favors. Her tears turned to laughter in a heartbeat. She quickly murmured several "mm-hmms" before whispering, "Alright, I'll make it for you when we get home tonight."

Then, the call ended.

On the other end, Lambert stared at the disconnected screen, his eyes softening with a faint, tender smile.

Meanwhile, Ariana wasted no time. After wrapping up her tasks at the company, she drove straight to Allison’s family home.

From Lambert, she had learned that Allison was now staying with her parents. So, she headed directly to the Jay Family residence. Luck was on her side—when she arrived, Allison was still quietly sitting in her bedroom, not yet out for the day. Had it been a few days earlier, she would have already been at the hospital, keeping vigil by her daughter’s side.

But after days of relentless care, she had fallen ill with a fever. Her mother had then forced her to stay home and rest.

Even so, her thoughts remained tethered to her daughter in the hospital ward.

When Ariana pushed open the door to Allison’s room, this was the sight that greeted her. Her eyes burned instantly. With a trembling voice, she called out, "Allison?"

At the familiar voice, Allison stiffened slightly.

Then, she turned her head slowly.

The moment she saw Ariana, she blinked, dazed, before murmuring uncertainly, "Ariana?"

Ariana could no longer hold back her tears. Her voice cracked as she responded, then she rushed forward and pulled Allison into a tight embrace. Choking back sobs, she said, "Why didn’t you tell me? Do you still consider me your best friend?" As she spoke, she clung to Allison even tighter.

Ariana had never seen Allison like this before—her once lively, sparkling eyes now dull, her frail body so thin it seemed a gust of wind could knock her over.
