Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 584

Having narrowly escaped death's door, Ariana's attitude toward Georgia was no longer as cold and distant as before.

Perhaps she realized she had been too harsh and stubborn in the past.

Sure, her mother hadn’t exactly been a model parent.

But Ariana was willing to give her a chance—

Provided, of course, that Georgia felt the same way.

If not, then so be it. But judging by how things stood now, it seemed her mother had truly repented, no longer favoring Jane. In that case, she was ready to extend an olive branch.

Lucian had only a vague impression of Georgia, so hearing his mother mention "Grandma" didn’t stir much in him.

He simply blinked and asked, "Hmm! Will Grandma come see you later, Mom?"

Ariana smiled faintly. "Yes, and your aunt too."

Lucian’s eyes instantly lit up—he absolutely adored his aunt!

Before he could say another word, the door suddenly swung open, and Lambert stepped in, carrying an insulated lunchbox.

The icy aura around him melted away the moment his gaze landed on Ariana.

He moved closer, gently pressing a hand to her forehead to check for fever. Though a head injury wasn’t directly linked to a temperature spike, he still felt better confirming it himself.

One by one, he unpacked the containers, revealing all of Ariana’s favorite dishes—each carefully prepared by the family cook under his orders.

But none of it was greasy—just light and refreshing.

Lucian stared at the food with wide, longing eyes, practically drooling.

Hmm…

Only now did he realize just how hungry he was.

Unfortunately, Lambert, that scumbag of a father, seemed completely oblivious to his own son, continuing to gently serve Ariana a bowl of porridge. The sight made Lucian’s big eyes practically glow green with envy. Men and women—especially fathers and mothers—were just different.

Lambert had eyes only for Ariana, but Ariana’s gaze wasn’t solely fixed on her husband. She also noticed her pitiful-looking son.

So, after accepting the porridge from Lambert, she didn’t take a sip herself. Instead, she turned to Lucian and asked, "Lucian, are you hungry?"

As she spoke, she handed the bowl to him.

In an instant, Lambert’s icy aura erupted.

His frigid glare locked onto the transferred bowl of porridge, his expression dark as if someone owed him a fortune.

Lucian, however, was a sensible child.

Though he desperately wanted to eat, he shook his head reluctantly and said, "Mom, you have it."

Ariana nearly burst out laughing.

She ruffled her precious boy’s hair and pushed the bowl back toward him. "Don’t worry, there’s plenty. Mom won’t go hungry."

Lambert, it seemed, had seen enough.

For one thing, the congee was something he had specially prepared for Ariana. For another, even if Ariana wanted to share it with someone, she hadn’t considered him.

So, he was feeling just a tiny bit displeased.

With an indifferent expression, he pulled out another container that looked suspiciously like a takeout box. "You drink yours—I made this myself. I brought takeout for Lucian." The takeout, of course, was something Lambert had just picked up downstairs.

Here’s how it happened.

After packing the breakfast the cook had prepared, Lambert suddenly remembered his son was also here.

As long as the kid got *something* to eat, it was fine.

It wasn’t like he’d never had takeout before.

Hearing his father’s remark, Lucian’s resentment deepened. He silently added another week to his future takeout revenge plan. 'Hmph! When Dad’s old, I’ll make him eat takeout for two whole weeks!'

Ariana, of course, was perfectly content to watch the two of them bicker.

After all, it was just another way for them to bond.

The warm, lighthearted atmosphere lasted until Lambert finally had no choice but to leave for work. It wasn’t until Georgia arrived that the mood gradually settled.

The moment Kiara laid eyes on Lucian, her face lit up. Lucian, who adored his aunt just as much, happily threw his arms around her and exclaimed, "Auntie!"

Kiara planted an enthusiastic kiss on Lucian's cheek and cheerfully responded.

Lucian scrunched up his little face with a serious expression. "Teacher says boys and girls shouldn't kiss," he declared solemnly.

Kiara chuckled. "Oh, really?"

Without hesitation, she leaned in and kissed his chubby cheek again.

Lucian: "..."

Meanwhile, Georgia gazed affectionately at her precious grandson before shifting her attention to Ariana. She hadn’t forgotten her purpose—to reconcile with her daughter. With genuine concern, she asked, "Ariana, is your head still hurting? What did the doctor say?"

Though Ariana had already decided to forgive her mother and give her a chance, her tone remained reserved.

"It's fine. Doesn’t hurt much anymore," she replied softly.

Georgia knew better than to push too hard. In fact, she was pleasantly surprised by Ariana’s current attitude. A tender warmth flickered in her eyes as she spoke.

"That’s good to hear. I’m sure you’ll be discharged in a few days. Oh, you have no idea how worried your father and I have been—we haven’t slept properly this whole time." She sighed. "You must be more careful when you go out from now on. The roads are so crowded these days, and accidents happen far too often."
