Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 586

That day, Kiara took Lucian out for a day full of fun.

Lucian was absolutely thrilled—he had never been this happy before. Clutching Kiara's hand like an adorable, clingy child, he was a far cry from the composed and dignified eldest great-grandson of the Stone family he usually prided himself on being.

Ariana, naturally, was delighted to see her son so lively and cheerful.

Her perspective differed from that of the elders in the family.

To Ariana, intelligence and excellence didn’t have to come at the expense of joy. A child buried in books wasn’t necessarily a happy one. She didn’t demand her children to be extraordinary—she simply wanted them to be happy. After all, behind every accomplished individual lies a history of trials and hardships.

She certainly didn’t intend to raise Lucian or her two younger sons as fragile flowers in a greenhouse.

But while they were still young and full of life, she wanted them to embrace happiness. There would be plenty of time for challenges once they grew older.

Meanwhile, Georgia had gradually begun to mend her strained relationship with Ariana during this time.

Though they weren’t exactly close, the atmosphere between them was far more amicable than before.

Gilbert was overjoyed when he found out.

At dinner, he smiled warmly at his wife and said, "Kiara’s been telling me you and Ariana have been getting along better. I’m truly relieved." The rift between his wife and daughter had weighed heavily on his mind, and now that the tension had eased, his happiness was immeasurable.

Seeing her husband’s delight, Georgia also felt a weight lift from her heart.

Shaking her head with a wistful smile, she sighed, "Ariana is such a good child. We really did fail her in the past. I just didn’t know how to make it right—there were so many complications, like you, like the White family business. I was at a complete loss. But when she was in that car accident, lying unconscious for days, as if she might never wake up… that’s when it finally hit me. I realized how wrong I’d been. Nothing else matters as long as Ariana stays healthy and remains by our side."

As she spoke, a shadow of regret flickered in her eyes.

It was clear that she had been genuinely terrified by Ariana's car accident last time.

Gilbert gazed at his wife and sighed before comforting her, "That was just an accident—don't worry too much. Ariana has woken up now, hasn't she? At least it's better than the Jay Family's situation. I heard their daughter, Allison, might remain in a vegetative state. Lambert hasn't told Ariana yet, afraid it might trigger another breakdown. You should keep that in mind too—don't let Ariana find out."

Georgia truly hadn’t known about this...

Her mind had been preoccupied with balancing Jane’s interests, her husband’s concerns, and her own—how to secure the greatest advantage for herself.

She hadn’t paid attention to anything else.

So she had no idea about Allison's situation.

Or rather, she hadn’t bothered to look into it. Upon hearing this, she froze for a moment.

She knew that girl from the Jay family—the one who had been close to Ariana since childhood.

The one who later married into the Morris family.

Seeing that his wife had finally recalled, Gilbert continued, "And that’s not all. Stefan’s daughter, who was ill at birth, has also passed away. Make sure Ariana doesn’t hear about any of this." Unlike his wife, who was completely in the dark, Gilbert was somewhat informed.

After all, his daughter had taken Allison and Stefan’s children as her godchildren.

So as their honorary grandfather, he naturally knew a thing or two.

Besides, the White and Morris families had business dealings, and he had been pleased to see his daughter maintain good relations with them. Who could have predicted such tragedies? At the time, his daughter had been in the same car as that girl. Yet now, only Ariana had regained consciousness.

Though Ariana was also a victim, he still hoped she wouldn’t learn about these events—just in case.

Ignorance might spare her further grief.

This would also help avoid any potential misunderstandings between the Jay and Morris families.

It was no surprise he thought this way. As a businessman, his first instinct was always to consider such matters. Though Ariana and Allison shared a close bond, the relationships between the Morris, White, and Jay families had always been lukewarm at best.
