Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 622

As for Irene, she was still drowning in the turbulent emotions from earlier.

Jealousy and hatred consumed her entire mind. If not for the sliver of rationality she still clung to, she wouldn’t know what to do with herself... She *hated* Ariana—truly, utterly despised her. Never in her life had she encountered a woman like this. She had underestimated her. The memory of once advising Ariana to leave Lambert now made her sneer inwardly.

'That woman must have been laughing at me the whole time.'

The thought sent Irene spiraling back into bitterness.

She had originally planned to bide her time before making her move.

But now...

'She’s forcing my hand.'

She couldn’t take it anymore—*couldn’t*. She *had* to destroy Ariana. *Had* to.

Still, she had to maintain her close friendship with Madelyn—especially since she needed her help. So despite the irritation gnawing at her, she forced herself to act as gentle and caring as ever.

Madelyn had given birth to a son, which technically made her a celebrated contributor to the Stone family.

But with so many fourth-generation boys already in the family, Old Mr. Stone and the matriarch barely reacted, offering only a tepid acknowledgment.

This left Khloe seething. 'They’re clearly playing favorites.'

But there was nothing she could do except vent in her heart.

Irene sat by Madelyn’s hospital bed, gazing at her with concern. "Madelyn, are you feeling any better now?" she asked softly.

Madelyn lifted her head weakly, meeting Irene’s eyes before offering a faint smile. "I’m alright."

This was Madelyn’s first child.

Though her feelings toward the baby were complicated, the subtle emotions of motherhood still tugged at her, making it impossible not to care. Even if the child was born to someone she disliked, he was still her son. After a brief hesitation, she finally asked, "How’s the baby?"

Irene chuckled lightly. "Don’t worry, he’s perfectly healthy."

Relief washed over Madelyn’s face.

She studied Irene for a moment before blinking playfully. "Remember what we used to say? Back when we were chatting about the future—how after getting married and having kids, we’d raise them together, just like our friendship. Now that my son’s here, it’s your turn to catch up."

Irene let out a bitter laugh, her voice tinged with self-mockery. "I think staying single suits me just fine."

The sorrow in her expression didn’t escape Madelyn’s notice.

Frowning, Madelyn pressed, "What’s wrong? You don’t look well." Then, a thought struck her, and her face darkened. "Did Ariana come after you again?" After Irene’s warning last time, she had been extra cautious, fearing Ariana might harm her unborn child—especially in the final two months.

That was why she hadn’t kept up with Irene’s situation.

Irene glanced at her before shaking her head with effort. "No… It’s nothing. Stop overthinking and get some rest."

But Madelyn refused to drop it. "Tell me, or I won’t be able to relax!" Ariana was cunning, ruthless, and vicious. The thought of Irene suffering at her hands was unbearable.

Seeing her best friend so worried about her, Irene bit her lip and finally spoke up.

She glanced at Madelyn, forcing a weak smile as she said, "She... is pregnant again."

Madelyn's face instantly darkened.

But now, she needed a foolproof plan to ensure Ariana would never rise again—

As for the method...

Her eyes flickered, landing on the peacefully sleeping child beside Madelyn. A shadow of something dark and unidentifiable flashed across her gaze before she could even register it herself.

Yet before Irene could set her scheme in motion, fate handed her an opportunity on a silver platter.

Georgia had been suffocating at home lately.

Though reason told her to stay away from her daughter, the ache of longing gnawed at her every second. She just wanted to see her child—even if only from a distance. The thought consumed her until, finally, she convinced herself.

The next day, she went to the hospital where Madelyn was staying.

She knew Irene had been there often.

So she planned to steal just one glimpse of her daughter from afar.

Coincidentally, just as Georgia arrived, Irene was stepping out of the hospital, car keys in hand, ready to leave. Staring at Irene from a distance, Georgia was so lost in thought that she absentmindedly wandered into the street without realizing it.

A car screeched to a halt right in front of her, the driver yelling at her before she snapped back to reality.

Furious at the near-accident, the driver's anger was palpable.

The commotion caught Irene's attention. She glanced over—and froze. That woman was none other than Ariana's mother... Her eyes gleamed briefly before she swiftly exited her car and hurried toward Georgia, feigning concern.

"Auntie, what are you doing here?" she asked, voice laced with worry.

Then, turning to the driver with an apologetic smile, she said, "I'm so sorry—this is my friend's mother. She didn't mean to cause any trouble. Please forgive her."
