Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 100

These were details every designer had to understand thoroughly. Annie had to be especially careful because her client was pregnant.

Maeve pondered for a moment before shaking her head. "Nope. I'm pretty strong in that sense."

When Amelia heard that, she quickly added, "She's fine with fabrics, but Annie, you have to be careful. She is allergic to all kinds of nuts."

Amelia's expression turned serious. "And it's a severe allergy. Even the slightest contact with her skin can provoke a reaction, not to mention accidental ingestion."

Annie stopped writing and looked up seriously. "Got it. I've written it down."

She circled the words "nut allergy" in red ink on her notebook and added two heavy exclamation marks beside it.

The client's safety always came first, especially since Maeve was expecting. Even a trivial mistake could lead to serious consequences.

Once she was done taking Maeve's measurements, Annie packed away her tools.

Maeve picked up the design sketches Annie had brought and looked through them again, her eyes filled with genuine delight. "Annie, your designs are amazing. I love them so much."

She looked at Annie sincerely. "Once my baby is born, I want to ask you to design clothes for the little one too."

Upon hearing that, Annie smiled. "It'll be my pleasure to do so."

They chatted for a short while longer. Seeing that her work was finished, Annie rose to her feet. "Ms. Monroe, Ms. Brown, I'll head back to the office now. If you need anything, feel free to contact me anytime."

"Okay. Take care on your way back."

With her toolkit in hand, Annie walked toward the door. Just as she reached for the handle, her hand froze mid-air. She realized that the door had been pulled open a crack.

The moment her gaze swept across the doorway, a bald head flashed past the narrow gap. The sight was so eerie that Annie's heart skipped a beat.

Annie yanked the door open and hurried out. Yet, the corridor was completely empty. She could only hear faint voices from the nurses' station in the distance, but there wasn't a single person in sight.

Annie figured that it was just a patient passing by. She was in a hospital, after all. Bald patients were hardly uncommon.
