Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 104

Before Sean could respond, Cecilia continued, "Please don't misunderstand, Ms. Steward. I didn't come here to upset you on purpose.

"I-I just want to wear a wedding gown once before I die. When I'm gone, S-Sean will be yours again."

Her voice trembled, tinged with despair.

As Annie looked at Cecilia's pale face, a wave of nausea washed over her. She felt so sick to her stomach that she nearly gagged.

Refusing to spend another second in that place, she just wanted to leave immediately. She turned around and headed to the VIP lounge, where she knew Christian was waiting.

Just as she stepped forward, her wrist was seized in a firm grip.

"Where are you going?" Sean's low voice carried a questioning edge.

Feeling the pressure on her wrist, Annie frowned. She shot him a disgusted look and coldly demanded, "Let me go."

A flicker of panic crossed Cecilia's eyes when she noticed the way Sean gripped Annie's hand. She hadn't expected him to still care about Annie enough to react this way.

Lydia, however, saw it as the perfect chance to perform. To her, Annie was the shameless ex who wouldn't stop clinging to Sean even after she was dumped.

She remarked, "Ms. Steward, it isn't right to brazenly steal someone else's boyfriend, is it?"

Lydia marched over to Annie and reached for her arm. "Let go of Dr. Frost right now!"

But before her hand could touch Annie, a sudden gust of wind swept over.

With a bang, Lydia felt a sudden numbness in her knee before her entire body was violently thrown forward. She hit the floor hard, and her phone skidded away, shattering into pieces.

A tall, imposing figure strode forward.

Christian's expression was stormy, and his gaze was terrifyingly cold. He had been waiting in the lounge with a growing sense of unease when Annie didn't return, so he came to check—only to find Lydia, a mere shop assistant, trying to lay hands on her.
