Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 64

Annie's fingers danced on the keyboard, noting down each of the points. She only looked up when Amelia was done listing her demands.

Anyone familiar with the fashion industry knew that adding more elements to a design didn't necessarily make it better. A successful design needed to have a clear direction. She couldn't just hastily put everything together.

"Ms. Brown, I understand where you're coming from. However, as a professional, I'd like to discuss some of the points with you."

Amelia raised her brow, a signal for Annie to go on.

"You mentioned that you wanted intricate embroidery to give the gown a sense of luxury, but you also wish for the skirt to be light and flowy. In terms of materials and craftsmanship, these two points contradict each other.

"Besides that, Maeve is known for her cold and elegant image. If we add seductive elements to the design, it might ruin the image she has built for herself, which will be more trouble than it's worth."

Upon hearing her words, Amelia looked upset. "Are you questioning my professional judgement?"

Raising her voice, she sounded angry. "I've been her agent for almost a decade. I know what's best for her. I hired you to solve the problem, not to point out more problems for me!"

Annie was still calm and composed. She knew that Amelia wasn't really angry. She was just fighting back because Annie had challenged her authority.

In situations like these, Annie knew that it would be pointless to double back on her words or argue. As such, she silently picked up her stylus and quickly sketched something on her digital tablet.

She sketched out a simple silhouette in under two minutes. She turned the digital tablet around to show it to Amelia.

"Calm down, Ms. Brown. I understand what you mean. It's my job to bring your ideas to life.

"Look, we can add intricate embroideries to the bust and the waist using silver and golden threads. This will give the gown a sense of luxury, elevate Maeve's status, and accentuate her curves. As for the skirt, we can…"

As Annie continued her explanation, Amelia looked at the sketch. Although it was just a few strokes, Amelia had to admit that she was captivated by it.

Her anger had vanished. Annie might be a newbie, but she was certainly capable.
