"And it's finally over." Nathan exclaimed happily the moment Christina walked out of the professor's office. She had finally submitted her project.

After weeks of working and toiling on it, it had finally come to an end. She couldn't be any more happier.

"Do you want to hang out this weekend? Just the two of us?" Nathan asked and Christina nodded. He was inviting her for a date and not really giving it too much thought, she agreed to it.

Her weekend was free and she didn't want to be cooped up at home doing nothing. She was already tired of the loneliness she felt after her altercation with Max.

It's been days and she hasn't heard from him. He hasn't even tried to reach out to her too. She felt guilty, speaking to him like that and it was eating out at her.

She had wanted to reach out countless times to apologize but just didn't know the right way to go about it. Would he even listen to her if she did? He probably hated her right now.

Sighing loudly, she tried to block out all thoughts about him. This is exactly why she never wanted to get close to him in the first place. He was a distraction.

But she wouldn't deny that this time around, it was her fault. He had really gone out of his way to apologize to her and she blew it all up in his face the second she had the chance to.

"Chris, are you okay?" Nathan gently tapped her arm and she snapped back to reality. "You seem out of it for some reason."

"I'm okay." She lied. She was anything but okay. Even Bryce had asked her the same question when she had requested for his help to finish her project and she gave him the same response.

She couldn't bring herself to tell him what had happened and why Max had stopped helping her. Max was his best friend and she was scared that he'd get angry at what she did and scold her.

But seeing that Bryce didn't push further with it only meant that he didn't know that they weren't on speaking terms, he didn't know the extent of their argument which only means that Max didn't mention it to him too.

"Can I drop you off at home?" He requested but before Christina could respond, her phone vibrated in her pockets. She excused herself and reached for it to see the caller ID.

It was Hera.

A smile lit up on her gloomy face as she swiped the receive button and placed the phone to her ears.

"Hello Hera, how are you?" She beamed with a bright smile. "I've missed you." She confessed sincerely.

"I've missed you too, terribly for that matter." Hera admitted from the other end of the phone call.

"I was wondering if you'd like to join us for lunch this afternoon?" Hera inquired. "I've missed you a lot and I wanted us both to catch up. Is that okay with you or are you busy with school?"

Christina shook her head as though Hera could see her. "No, I'm not. I just finished so I'll head over to your place."

She was happy that Hera had called cause she had been wondering how she would survive the rest of the day alone at home.

"Alright then. I'll keep an extra plate. See you soon." She added before disconnecting the call. Christina put her phone back into her pockets before facing Nathan.

"I'm sorry but I'll have to accept your offer about time Nathan." She lets him down easy. "My sister wants me to have lunch with her and I'll be going there now."

"Oh it's alright." He smiles down at her. "I guess that I'll be seeing you some other time then?"

"Of course. I'll text you later, bye!" She called out to him and rushed off almost immediately.

She booked an Uber and after giving directions to the driver, he drove her there. When she arrived, she made her way past security and into the mansion.

"You're here." Hera welcomed her with a warm hug as soon as Christina announced her presence in the house.
