She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 250

Bang!

Octavia slammed her right hand hard on the table, her face flushed with anger. “It’s my choice who I give my things to! That’s not for you to decide!”

Hester froze, shocked speechless by her grandmother’s sudden outburst. She’d never seen her lose her temper like this before. In Hester’s memory, her grandmother had always been gentle and loving.

Sabrina watched Hester’s pitiful expression and couldn’t help but find it ironic. Clearly, Octavia had heard all about Hester’s little escapades outside the house, but out of consideration for the family, she kept quiet. Octavia’s sources seemed to be everywhere.

Hester hurried over, trying desperately to soothe Octavia. “Grandma, please don’t be angry. It’s all my fault—I shouldn’t have said those things. I promise I’ll listen to you from now on, so please, don’t be upset.”

Her voice was soft, full of remorse, as she apologized.

Octavia took a deep breath, calming herself. She reached out, taking Hester’s hand, and her tone softened. “I’ve already set aside your things for you a long time ago. You’re both my granddaughters, and I love you both. But Sabrina has suffered so much out there, and I want to make it up to her. I hope you understand that, Hester.”

She gave Hester’s hand a gentle pat.

But Hester wasn’t listening to a word. All she could think about was how Octavia was standing up for Sabrina now. Jealousy and resentment twisted inside her, but she dared not let it show. She simply nodded obediently. “I understand, Grandma.”

She wiped away her tears and quickly left the room.

“If I were you, I’d have left ages ago. Must be tough, having your own family treat you like an outsider. You sure are thick-skinned.”

Hester’s words dripped with malice, her eyes shining with anticipation, waiting for Sabrina to snap—waiting to see her lose her cool, or break down in tears, or shrink away in shame.

But Sabrina just stared back, her gaze icy and detached. “The only ones who should feel out of place are you… foster child.” She spat out the last two words with deliberate emphasis.

Hester’s face twisted with rage. She lunged, reaching out to grab Sabrina’s arm.
