She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 44

Now that everything had come to light, Samuel would never let them off the hook—not with the kind of man he was.

Kenny was completely at a loss. He didn’t dare step outside; at least here with Keen, he had some kind of protection. If he rushed out on his own, it would be a death sentence.

The truth was, Brett and Kenny were the ones truly to blame. They were the ones who’d come up with the plan to torment those women.

“Keen, you have to think of something! Maybe we should just run—get as far away as we can, wait for things to cool down, and then come back.”

Kenny was desperate to survive. If they did have to run, sticking with Keen seemed his best shot at living comfortably for the rest of his life.

“Run? Are you out of your damn mind? Where exactly do you think we could hide? Every road leads straight to hell! Do you have any idea how far Samuel’s reach goes? It’s not just Veridia—he’s got connections overseas too. Even if we flew halfway around the world, he’d find us.” Keen’s voice was sharp with anger.

“But Keen, what are we supposed to do—just sit here and wait to die? I don’t want to die! I haven’t even gotten married or had kids yet. I’m the only son in my family, I can’t just let the line end with me!” Kenny broke down, tears streaming down his face.

Keen could hardly believe the idiot standing in front of him. Of all the times for this fool to be thinking about wives and children!

“You open your mouth one more time and I’ll put a bullet in your head myself!” Keen snapped, and quickly ordered the bodyguards outside to be ready.

Kenny stumbled back a few steps, shaking his head in panic.

“All these years, I’ve been wracked with guilt. I can’t sleep at night—the image of those women haunts me.” His voice was trembling. Years ago, he’d had a girlfriend he loved deeply. Five years back, when she became pregnant, he’d forced her to get an abortion. She’d left him after that.

Keen just snorted, looking at him with undisguised contempt.

“Spare me your martyr act. You were the one who grabbed them. You really think you can wash your hands of all this? You’re scared of Samuel now and want to play innocent—keep dreaming!”

Meanwhile, Samuel was speeding toward the villa with a group of men. His whole body was trembling. He clenched and unclenched his fists, struggling to keep his rage in check. Those monsters—he would make sure they suffered a fate worse than death.

His wife had been so kind, so beautiful, and had met such a terrible end. His daughter—she’d been just fourteen, so sweet and innocent. Even a child hadn’t been spared by those animals.

Samuel, always so strong and commanding, felt his eyes burn with unshed tears. This was the deepest agony a husband and father could endure.

The very thought of what his wife and daughter had suffered sent a chill through his bones.

How helpless, how terrified they must have been.

Samuel forced himself to stay focused—he would make every one of them pay, in blood, for what they’d done.
