She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 45

Inside the house.

Keen was just about to put a bullet in Kenny’s head when the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from outside the door.

“Boss! There are several cars heading straight for the villa.”

Keen lowered his gun, surprised at how quickly things were escalating. The villa sat on the border between Veridia and Country D—a lawless, chaotic zone rife with riots and unrest.

He’d chosen this place for a reason: it made his work easier. The men guarding his mansion weren’t just ordinary bodyguards; they were seasoned mercenaries.

Samuel might be formidable, but Keen wasn’t some frightened rookie. If Samuel wanted to take him out, it wouldn’t be so simple.

“How many cars?” Keen demanded.

“Three.”

Keen sneered. “They really underestimate me—trying to take me on with just three cars? They must have a death wish.”

Tonight, he’d make sure Samuel never left this place alive. It was the perfect chance to settle things with his most dangerous enemy once and for all.

What Keen didn’t know was that the three cars were nothing but a diversion—a smokescreen Samuel had set up.

By now, Samuel’s real strike team had already slipped into the estate. Someone in their convoy hacked into the security system from afar, disabling the cameras one by one, clearing the way for the team to break through.

They got all the way to the second villa before one of Keen’s mercenaries finally spotted them.

Gunfire erupted inside the house.

As the noise reached him, Keen’s heart sank. Faster than he’d expected. Samuel was ready for this.

Keen snatched his pistol, yanked open a drawer, and stuffed a bag full of cash and documents. With his bodyguards covering him, he made for the exit.

The timing was too coincidental. Kenny had barely arrived before Samuel’s people showed up. This place had gone unnoticed for years; now, suddenly, Samuel knew exactly where to find him. Keen couldn’t help but wonder if Kenny had led them here.

But there was no time to interrogate him now.

Keen lashed out, kicking Kenny hard in the ribs. “Get lost! I can barely save myself—do you really think I have time to worry about you?”

He snatched up his bag and darted toward the exit.

But Kenny wasn’t about to wait around for death. He knew that falling into Samuel’s hands would be a death sentence—and a painful one at that.

He was certain by now that Samuel had already captured Brett. And if Brett wasn’t dead, he was as good as.

What none of them realized was that Kenny’s phone had been bugged with a tracker. In fact, all three of their phones were tagged—because each of them had an unusual connection to Brett.
