Jordan had never felt this panicked before. He didn’t care that Camila and Dennis had made their feelings clear. He stepped right in front of them, blocking their way without even thinking.

“Camila, I messed up. Please, come back with me,” he said, his voice almost shaking. “We can try again… get remarried, give Lillian a real family. I’ll be better this time. A good husband, a good dad. You’ll be the most important thing in my life, I swear. Dennis only got close because we were having problems. That’s the only reason you started to drift.
