“Just wait and see. When you wake up tomorrow morning, I promise you’ll be in for a surprise.”
Walter Wilson didn’t even hesitate as he spoke, that confident tone making it clear he already had a plan.
Since that was the case, Camila Davis figured there was no point in pushing further.
After a long, exhausting day, she just told her driver to take her home so she could finally get some rest.
That night, she actually slept like a baby for the first time in ages.
The next morning, she was jolted awake by Sarah Brown, who was practically shaking her out of bed. “Camila! Wake up! Something huge just happened!”
“Huh?” Camila sat up, still half-asleep. “What’s going on? Did you win the lottery or something?”
Sarah’s excitement was nearly bursting. “Me? Win the lottery? No, girl—you did! You need to check the news right now. The Smith Group just had a complete meltdown.”
She shoved her phone in Camila’s face. Rubbing her eyes, Camila tried to focus, squinting at the screen.
There were two headlines trending everywhere:
[Smith Group Exposed: Miracle Drug Actually Harmful, Mr. Reed Nearly Dies.]
[Sandra Taylor Caught Stealing Incomplete Formula, Mass Producing and Marketing It as Her Own, Now Under Arrest.]
Camila was instantly wide awake.
She’d suspected Walter Wilson wouldn’t play nice, but this was way more ruthless than she’d imagined.
Out of habit, she scrolled through the comments. The internet was absolutely losing it.
“Is this for real? Wasn’t Sandra Taylor supposed to be some top-tier talent? And she’s stealing formulas?”
“She’s been arrested—what do you think?”
“The Smith Group is basically the NextGen Technologies of pharma, and they’re resorting to theft? That’s just disgusting. I feel sorry for whoever got robbed.”
“Wait, wasn’t Sandra Taylor rumored to be the CEO’s mistress? Did everyone already forget?”
“Of course not. It’s just that any comment about it gets deleted—probably by the Smith Group themselves. Heaven forbid anyone finds out their CEO ditched his wife and kid for his mistress.”
“Here’s an even juicier tidbit: the person they stole from? None other than Mrs. Smith herself.”
“Wow, so not only did the mistress break up a marriage, she had to ruin the woman’s career too? That’s low—even for them.”
“Guys, the Reed family just posted an official statement. Go check it out—it’s wild…”
Camila blinked, a bit stunned.
She quickly searched up the Reed Family’s official website.
Normally, the site was just a bland corporate page advertising Smith Group products. But today, there was a huge update—nothing to do with products.
[We’ve received many inquiries regarding the medication and Mr. Wilson’s health. Here is our official response:
Camila honestly hadn’t checked.
“How bad is it?” she asked.
Sarah quickly pulled up the stock market app and handed her the phone. “Look at that drop. ‘Crash’ doesn’t even cover it. All those people who placed orders because of their hype? Now they’re all demanding refunds and even compensation. Sandra Taylor’s scheme totally backfired. Smith Group’s reputation is in shambles.”
She couldn’t help grinning, a bit gleeful. “I told you, Camila. Smith always had lousy taste. He let someone as amazing as you go, just to chase Sandra Taylor? Now he knows who’s the real deal and who’s just a fraud.”
But Camila didn’t care about what Jordan Smith thought of her.
All that mattered was that she’d finally gotten justice.
Smith Group had only themselves to blame for their downfall.

Meanwhile, at Smith Group HQ…
Jordan Smith was losing his mind over the breaking news.
Normally, they could’ve buried a scandal like this, but this time, even their overpaid PR team couldn’t put out the fire.
He called his right-hand man, Nathan Gates, into his office.
Nathan worked fast and came back with a report. “We’ve traced it. Walter Wilson’s the one who pushed the story out to every major media outlet. And since everything’s true, the internet’s having a field day tearing us apart…”
