He sent a file to Camila Davis.
Camila clicked it open right away.
Inside, there were two chains of evidence.
The first one traced back to the online trolls—The Smith Group was the ringleader, but digging deeper, the trail led straight to Sandra Taylor’s father’s former assistant. And those reporters who’d swarmed outside Mr. Morris’s house yesterday? Turns out, most of them were connected to that same assistant, one way or another.
After The Taylor Group went under, everybody had been laid off. That assistant? Supposedly working somewhere else now, but in reality, he’d kept in close contact with Ethan Taylor. Camila figured he was still on Taylor’s payroll, just off the books. The guy—Brown, or whatever his name was—was still running errands for them.
And this whole mess? He’d been the main operator behind the scenes. The people who’d been bribed? All the money had gone through his bank account.
The second chain of evidence was about getting Mr. Morris kicked out of the research institute. This trail pointed straight to Raymond Mitchell’s assistant.
By the time Camila finished reading, the whole thing finally made sense.
Sandra Taylor and Raymond Mitchell were both in it up to their necks!
“So, they didn’t get their own hands dirty—they just sent others to do their dirty work? And Sandra Taylor was the one calling the shots?” Camila asked.
Dennis Williams nodded. “Sandra was definitely running the show, but she’s also being used as a pawn. Raymond Mitchell’s assistant reached out to The Smith Group’s media team—using Sandra Taylor’s name, by the way…”
Camila’s face darkened immediately.
She remembered Walter Wilson telling her that Raymond Mitchell had helped treat Jordan Smith’s leg. That must’ve been when he and Sandra Taylor started working together…
The thought made Camila both angry and disgusted.
Every time Jordan Smith got involved, things just got messier.
But no matter how annoyed she was, she wasn’t about to let Sandra Taylor off the hook. If Sandra hadn’t started scheming, Raymond Mitchell wouldn’t have had the chance to use her! Nobody takes the fall for free. The two assistants? She’d see them both behind bars.
No way those guys would keep their mouths shut once they were staring down a jail cell.
Once they were in police custody, the truth would come out.
