As Larry was ushered out the door, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. But seeing how much Sarah cared, he decided not to refuse. In the morning, while Sarah attended meetings and handled her work, she set Larry up in her office. Larry sat on the sofa with his laptop, reviewing the funeral arrangements Noa had sent. Once he was done, he replied, telling Noa that he had no objections and they could begin preparations. After that, Larry called Dennis Williams to thank him for arranging the funeral. Dennis, ever the good friend, didn't forget to check in on him. "How are you holding up today?" Larry found the question amusing. "Why does everyone think I'm so fragile? I'm a grown man. It hurts, sure, but the Adams family isn't enough to break me." He knew Dennis was just concerned, so he added with a laugh, "Don't worry, Dennis, I'm really fine. And even if I weren't, I think I'd be too distracted to dwell on it." Dennis was a bit confused by that last remark until a photo from Larry popped up on his phone. It was a picture of Sarah Brown's office. "I'm at the Smith Group right now," Larry texted. Finding someone to share the absurdity with, he couldn't help but laugh as he told Dennis about Sarah's unique method of comforting someone. After reading, Dennis cracked a smile himself. "Well, it looks like you're in good hands." Meanwhile, Sarah had finished her work and was surreptitiously slacking off in her office chair. The enlarged headline on her computer screen was glaringly conspicuous: "Slept with my best friend while drunk. How do I handle this?" The search results were filled with similar questions and a wild array of answers. Some advised, "Pretend nothing happened and never speak again." Others were more curious: "With your best friend? That's juicy. Is the OP male or female?" and "Give us the details! The more explicit the better, we need to analyze this properly..." Sarah scrolled through, finding no serious advice, and her headache grew. Finally, she found a post that seemed more credible, from someone in a situation very similar to hers. The poster explained that she and her best friend had been close for years, often going out for drinks. Their first time also happened by accident. Since they were both attractive and had a great impression of each other, they decided to see where things could go. Now, they were in a stable, happy relationship. As Sarah read the end of the post, her heart skipped a beat. A relationship with Larry? She'd never considered it before. But... the idea wasn't entirely out of the question. It was just like the poster and her friend. Larry was an outstanding guy—handsome, and in great shape. She'd clearly seen his eight-pack abs that morning! That kind of physique showed he was disciplined and had high standards for himself. And most importantly, she had to take responsibility! If her family found out what she'd done, her brother would probably be the first one to break her legs. Sometimes, just thinking about something can make it happen. The moment her brother's image flashed in her mind, her phone rang with his name—Billy Brown. The shock made Sarah jump so violently she almost fell out of her chair. When she finally answered, she blurted out, "Why on earth are you calling me out of the blue?" Hearing the panic in her voice, Billy's tone turned slow and dangerous. "What's the matter? Did you do something shady behind my back?"
