The Alpha Of The Shadow Pack And His Mute Luna (by Beatrice Putnam) novel Chapter 27

Chapter 27

Alfreds POV

I went to the very back of the jail. To where that monster Thomas is. When they brought him down here, they made sure to chain him up to the wall with silver chains. There was no way he was going to escape. Unless he wanted to hurt himself seriously, I could hear the chains rattling. He’s trying to fight against them. That is his choice. I walked over to

his cell.

When I get out of here, I’m going to kill you and take the girl.

No, you are not.

If you ever touch her again, I will kill you.

You should ask her to use her pretty little mouth.

I lost it at that moment, ripped open his cell door, and walked into the cell. I started punching him. First, I hit him in the mouth. Then, in the gut. Then I used my claws and scratched him across his chest. I continued to beat him until he was no longer moving. He was still breathing but not moving.

That will teach you a lesson.

I then left the jail. I told the guards they needed to move him since I had destroyed the cell door. I needed to go for a run and let Leon out. He wanted to kill him as much as I did. I knew what he meant about using her pretty little mouth. I can not believe that she had to endure that. Even if he hadn’t penetrated her, he still raped her. That is something that I do not tolerate. The law clearly states that if you rape someone, you will be put to death. That is the punishment. Of course, there is an investigation, and the perpetrator is tried and sentenced if the claims are valid.

I make sure they are guilty. There have been innocent people accused and then punished. I have never put an innocent person to death. I have made sure they are guilty. There have been people who accused others out of spite and jealousy. If someone wrongly accuses someone of that crime and the investigation proves that they have lied, they have consequences of their own. The result is having their tongue cut out. I have only had to do that to one person. I do not do things lightly.

This Thomas person is one hundred percent guilty. The way Vanessa acts when she sees

him tells me everything I need to know. She would not have been afraid of him if he had

never done anything to her. I then went and checked on her parents. Her father had burn

marks around his mouth. The sliver was burning him. Her mother was lying on the floor

in her cell, curled up in a ball.

Why are you doing this?

We have not done anything wrong.

I almost tore the cell door off. But I stopped myself and just left. Are they so evil that they will not accept responsibility for their actions? How can you say you did nothing wrong when you tortured your daughter? I was furious. I ran out of the jail and started

running. I then jumped into the air and shifted to Leon. We ran and ran. Finally, after an hour of running, we were in the right mindset. I walked slowly back to the house. I had hidden some clothes in a building. I shifted back into human form and got dressed.

When I walked into the house, everyone was upset. Now what? What was going on, and

why was everyone upset? Chris ran up to me.

Freddy, it is the Luna. She had a bad nightmare, and she had locked herself in the

bathroom and would not come out.

That’s fucking great. I walked into the bedroom where she was. My mother was by the

door. She had shifted into her wolf Roxi. Roxi was a beautiful brown and white wolf. She

saw that it was me and backed away from the door.

Thank you, mom.

She nodded her head and then left. My father was sitting on the bed.

Son, I don’t know what they all did to her, but she woke up and ran into the door several

times.

If I had not stopped her, she would have seriously hurt herself, and she kicked me in the shin pretty hard and ran into the bathroom.

We tried to reach you, but we could not.

I’m sorry, father, but a prisoner pissed me off, and I was running. I turned my mind link

off because I was angry.

He nodded in understanding and left the room. Now, I needed to talk her out of the bathroom. She could have reopened her wounds. This turned out to be a very long day. I had had no sleep, and I was ready to kill the prisoners in the jail for what they did to my Luna. No woman deserves what she has been through. Then she had a nightmare, and I was not there to comfort her. Now, my beautiful girl has locked herself in the bathroom.

Little one, I’m here. You can come out now.

I waited for a moment and heard no noise. I very quietly unlocked the door with my key, went into the bathroom, and shut the door. I used my wolf’s eyesight to see in the dark. She was in the corner crying. I slowly walked over to her and sat down next to her. She immediately crawled into my lap and continued to cry. I started to stroke her hair gently.

It’s OK, little one, I’m here. Nobody is going to hurt you.

Her sobbing started to ease off, and I could feel that she had cried herself to sleep again. I waited for a while to make sure she was asleep. I then mindlinked my mother and father and told them she was asleep again. I also asked them if they could shut the lights off in the room. I did not want to wake her up when we left the bathroom. She was starting to shiver in her sleep. She was getting cold. I then mindlinked my mother and asked her to bring me a blanket. Vanessa heard the door open and jumped.

Easy, little one. It is just my mother. She is bringing you a blanket.

My mother covered her up and left. I sat on the bathroom floor with her for a while.

Let’s go to bed, little one.

She was asleep. I carefully got up with her and held her close. We then went back to bed. I lay with her for a while. It was late in the day, and I still had a few things to do. I quietly got out of bed, bent down, and whispered in her ear.

I love you, little one; I’m keeping you forever.

She smiled and rolled over. The doctor is coming tomorrow to check on her and see how she is doing. He wants to draw more blood and see if she needs more fluids. I then left to tend to what I needed to finish for the day.
