Alfreds POV

When I got into the house, and she was on the floor with a bloody nose, I got her a towel and held it to her nose. I picked her up and was about to take her to the doctor’s. She was kicking and screaming to put her down. She screamed no, and the whole house shook. That was a surprise in itself. That was clearly an alpha right there, but when did she get so strong? Whatever happened to her when she died, then came back to life? She was definitely different. But that did not matter. She was going to do what I told her to do regarding her health.

To be a prick, I used my alpha voice since she was being difficult.

“Fine”

Go to the bedroom and I will be there in a minute.”

She was stunned that I used my alpha voice on her, but she stomped to the bedroom. She slammed the door behind her. I winked at Stacey and Chris. I then went to the bedroom. I walked in and closed the door gently. But I was not happy with her being so stubborn. I then told her I would die without her, and watching her go through what she had.

“I would die if anything else happened to you.”

I knew she could feel my pain. But I was not going to try to hide my feelings. I was deeply concerned about her safety. She walked over to me and wrapped her arms around me. I then pulled her close. I then decided to do something that would make her agree to go to the hospital and get checked out. I gently backed her against the wall and slowly put her hands up over her head. As I was gently pushing her back to the wall, I asked.

Little one, how’s your nose?”

“It’s fine.”

I then started kissing her and licking where I marked her. As I was doing that, I started to

“When I say that you are going to the doctor, you are going.”

I then picked her up and took her to the hospital. The doctor said that she was OK. I was relieved she did not look happy, but I didn’t care. I could have used my alpha voice and made her go to the doctor, but there was no fun in that. After the doctor left the room, she made sure that the door was secured, and she walked up to me and pushed me against the bed, and then kissed me hard and passionately.

“That wasn’t unfair.”

“But it got you here.”

I said that with a cocky smile. Her body temperature is so hot. Maybe that was from me teasing her to get her here. I then carried her home. There was still a war going on. I needed to get back into it. I handed her off to Stacey and Chris and then locked them in the safe room. I then rushed back out to help my warriors. I was in the middle of dealing with a vampire when I heard Sasha. What the hell is going on now? To my surprise, she was almost floating. Then everything froze except my warriors and me. Then, in the blink of an eye, all our enemies were dead. She shifted and fell to the ground. She got up on her

own.

I picked her up and carried her inside, and I started screaming at her.

“WOMAN, HOW MANY TIMES ARE YOU GOING TO PUT YOUR LIFE IN DANGER?”

She yelled right back at me.

‘I’m THE LUNA OF THIS PACK AND IT IS MY DUTY TO HELP.”

She did have a point. But damn, was she sexy when she yelled. I then walked over to her and bent down so I was eye level with her.

I love you, Vanessa, but stop that.”

I went to the kitchen and got a cold wash cloth. You could feel the heat coming off her body. She then started to kiss me feverishly. I then pushed her off me. Then the smell hit me. She is in heat.

“Oh shit, this is not good.”

I knew I had to get every male out of the house. Some of the younger males would not be able to help themselves; they would try to mate with her. So I had to make sure all the males were out of the house. I told Mac what was going on, and he immediately understood. He would have our meals sit outside the house until her heat passed. She was lying gon the couch and then the pains started.

“Alfred, it hurts.”

“I need you.”

“It’s all right, little one, I have you.”

I took her to our room. She needed to cool down first before we did anything. I ran the bath water as cold as it would go.

“That cold.”

“I know, baby, but we need to get you cooled down.”

I then got behind her and held her. She then turned around and started to kiss me hard and passionately. While we were in the bathtub, we made love. That was the only way to keep her from going insane. We made love for hours. There was nothing romantic or passionate about what we were doing. We were being animalistic. Mac would mind–link me and tell me that our food was outside the front door. We were making love for three days straight. She was finally resting peacefully. I knew she was sore. She had hardly eaten anything for three days.

I did not want to wake her up. She looked beautiful lying there, her hair all a mess, covered in sweat, and exhausted. She will wake up shortly. She started to wake up. I brought her breakfast in bed. She sat up and pulled the sheet up over her breast. I carefully laid a towel down for her and set her tray of food on it. She basically inhaled her food. It was refreshing to see her eat with such vigor. After she ate, I took her to the bathhouse. I had ensured that the heater under it was working properly, so she could completely relax. I even had Stacey pick up some vanilla body wash, bubble bath, and

shampoo and conditioner.

“How are you feeling, little one?”

“I’m sore and my body aches.”

That is to be expected; her body has been through a lot. I helped her undress and get in the water. I then climbed in behind her and put her between my legs. I wrapped my arms around her and held her, letting her rest her head against my chest. I then had her sit up a bit so I could start massaging her shoulders.
