Chapter 27
Chapter 27
Daisy
I wake up the next morning and walk downstairs to make some breakfast. I hum softly to myself as I fry up some bacon and hear small footsteps rushing up behind me. “Mama!” A small boy clings to my leg and beams up at me. “Good morning!”
I smile fondly down at my son and ruffle his hair. “Good morning, little pup. I hope you slept well.” I feel Naomi’s pride as we watch the little one. He is so perfect and sweet and I can’t imagine my life without him.
In the end, I decided to keep my pup. I didn’t know if I’d truly love them, but I couldn’t just kill them either. During my pregnancy, Aiden kept his word and stayed by my side. His sweetness made my heart ache. What if I could never love him? What if he lived the rest of his life this way? I didn’t know how I felt because of everything going on.
I went into labor seven months along and I panicked. It was two whole months early! Hours later, I gave birth to a baby boy and the moment I saw him, I knew immediately who the father was. I’d recognize those hazel eyes anywhere but it all honestly it was like I had given birth to a tiny copy of him: Tristian Parker.
Looking back on it all now, I always feel guilty because I turned my back on him. Because of this, much to my surprise and displeasure at the time, Aiden stepped up and took care of him just as he promised. He even gave him the name I talked about giving a son: Skylar.
It took me months to finally look past his looks and to accept him. Sadly, it was all because he suddenly got ill and I feared losing him. The self-hatred remains with me to this day but I just do whatever I can to make it up to him. Luckily, he has no memory of his early life.
“We’re having pancakes and bacon for breakfast today so why don’t you wash up?” I say to Sky who giggles and scurries away. I continue to hum as I make enough pancakes for the three people who live here.
“Mmm, something smells good out here.” I shiver at the sound of Aiden’s voice. I haven’t accepted him as my mate yet but I have gotten closer to him. Sky and I live with him and as far as he is concerned, Aiden is Sky’s father. “Good morning, Daisy.”
I turn my head to look at him only to find myself drooling over him. He just got out of the shower it seems and with only some pants on, I get a nice view of his eight-pack. As he dries his hair, I feel the desire to eat him rather than the breakfast I’m making. Naomi agrees with me and I can imagine her howling and wagging her tail.
Before he can me staring, I turn my focus back on flipping a pancake. “Good morning, Aiden. I also hope you slept well too.”
I murmur.
Aiden chuckles. “Why of course I did. I got all tired out from going through meetings and exams with the young wolves.” He says before laughing. “And there’s my little pup!”
I look back to see Aiden scooping Sky up. “Daddy!” Sky squeals and giggles happily. I smile fondly at the two as they are just so precious together. It makes my heart warm and my feelings grow.
I plate everyone’s food and set them on the table. “Come on and eat you two,” I tell them and we have a wonderful meal together. The three of us are like a picture-perfect family,
As I watch the two of them eat and chat with each other, I feel a bit of anxiety. The longing I feel deep in my chest only grows with each passing day, but I’m unsure of how to express it. I wanted to confess them so badly that I could explode!
It didn’t take long for me to fall for Aiden. He’s a perfect man indeed and is always there for me, I know he has feelings for me and has been so patient with me but my lack of self-worth makes me hesitate so much.
“…sy? Daisy!” I jump when Aiden calls for me and I look at him. He wears a look of concern on his handsome face. “Are you alright? I called you several times and you didn’t respond.”
I hesitate and watch him quietly. I sense Naomi’s impatience with me as she just wants to be with her mate. I feel the desire

as well so I swallow and decide to go for it. “Can we go for a run after we drop off Skylar with Zoey?” She agreed to be our babysitter since our pups were great friends.

Aiden cocks his head to the side and looks curious. “Sure, we can do that. I don’t have any work this morning so I think it’s a great idea.” He smiles and I relax.
