Charlotte was resting with her eyes closed when she heard footsteps. She opened her eyes slowly and was surprised to see that it was Natalie. "Natalie? Why are you back?"

Natalie sat down beside the bed and took her hand. She said softly, "Aunt Charlotte, I've already arranged for the best medical team. You'll be fine very soon."

Charlotte was startled, but then she shook her head and smiled wryly. "You don't have to comfort me, you silly thing. I know my own condition—"

"I'm not just comforting you. I've asked Dr. N to operate on you, and I'm sure you'll get better."

There was a firm determination in Natalie's gaze.

Charlotte's eyes widened, and her voice began trembling. "D-Dr. N? T-the legend in the international medical world?"

Charlotte had heard her doctor mention that there would be hope if it were Dr. N who operated on her. However, Dr. N hadn't been around for the past few years.

Natalie nodded, and there was a mysterious glimmer of a smile in her eyes. "That's right. It's Dr. N."

"But…" Charlotte swallowed with difficulty. "I heard that Dr. N never takes on a patient lightly. Even the heads of state of various countries aren't able to hire her—"

It was hard to bring Matthew on board, let alone Dr. N.

Natalie gently patted the back of Charlotte's hand. "Don't worry, Aunt Charlotte. She owes me a favor, and she'll definitely come to operate on you."

"You've worked hard, my dear," Charlotte said, sounding touched.

After Natalie had settled Charlotte down, she told her to rest and then went home. She had to prepare the things that she would need for the operation.

She had already confirmed the arrangement with the hospital, and the operation would take place on Monday.

The weekend would be a good opportunity for Charlotte to get her strength up and prepare for the major operation.

The hospital was astonished when they found out Natalie's real identity. They were more than willing to cooperate. It was an amazing stroke of luck for them! They would even be able to let their doctors observe the operation.

Natalie left the hospital room and headed home. As she rounded a corner, she almost crashed into an oncoming person. Natalie apologized hastily. "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

Horatio looked at her, and his brows knitted. "Ms. Lunsford, I've experienced this 'coincidental meeting' trick countless times.

"Can't you find a different way to try and hit on me? Don't you know that your actions have already caused trouble for me?"

Natalie was flummoxed. What did he mean? Hit on him?

When she saw that it was Horatio, she was startled, but then she scoffed. "Mr. Hurrell, aren't you being a little conceited?"

She eyed him with clear disdain. "I have no interest in narcissists like you."

Horatio's expression darkened. "Natalie, what are you up to now? Think about it. How many times have you run into me already? Are you trying to say that they were all coincidences?"

She had previously even asked him for his contact number on the pretext of paying him back. He had never met such a thick-skinned woman before.

"Stop!"

Natalie interrupted impatiently. "Mr. Hurrell, I advise you to go and visit a psychologist. Paranoia is a disorder and needs to be treated."
