"But the boss isn't here. Do we still need to clean?" August asked.

Since they were both from the same place, August felt a certain kinship with Samantha.

Samantha looked around cautiously. "You might not know this, but I heard the big boss is also one of us. He's out on a business trip, so naturally, we’ve got to keep everything in tip-top shape for him. When he gets back and sees how neat and tidy everything is, it'll make his day. Samantha seemed taken aback, as if catching up a beat too slow. She glanced up at the nameplate on the door, then at August, and then, with a slap to her forehead, she exclaimed, "Oh, look at me, my mind's gone blank. You’re the president!"

It seemed to take her a moment to remember.

"What's your name?" August asked with a warm smile.

"I'm Zoey," she replied.
