Benedict pressed his fingers to his forehead, feeling a headache coming on. "Tammie, I'm just saying you should be careful. I can't watch your back all the time. Just… install a security camera in your study."
A security camera? The suggestion was the last straw. "That's an insult to Ann's character, Benedict! We're family! I'm not installing a camera in my own home to spy on her. And I'll tell you this right now: if my cousin would betray me for a miserable sixty million dollars, then I'll change my last name!" His voice was resolute, leaving no room for argument.
Benedict sighed in defeat. "Alright, alright. I've said my piece. It's your call."

A few days later, Caitlin and Stuart boarded a flight to Silverhaven. After a two-hour journey, they landed and took a car to her grandfather's neighborhood. Caitlin hadn't told Fortune she was coming.
When they arrived, they saw him in his work vest, picking up litter along the sidewalk and chatting with a coworker. Suddenly, he paused, squinting at a familiar figure in the distance.
"What are you looking at, Kensington?" a colleague asked. Fortune had never revealed his true identity as the company's owner, and his new coworkers simply knew him as one of them.
"That person up ahead… she looks just like my granddaughter," Fortune mumbled. He'd forgotten his reading glasses and couldn't see clearly.
