THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 652

"Okay, thanks," Tammie said, picking up the bowl and starting to eat.

Ann's eyes narrowed slightly, her gaze flickering to his computer screen. "Well, Tammie, it looks like you can finally get a good night's sleep tonight."

"You have no idea," he said after finishing the soup, setting the bowl down and stretching luxuriously. "I can't remember the last time I slept through the night."

Ann picked up the empty bowl. "Then I won't disturb you, Tammie. Go get cleaned up and get some rest!"

"Alright, Ann."

Tammie was genuinely exhausted. "I think I'll go take a shower now."

Ann turned and left, and Tammie followed her out of the study.

Just as he finished his shower and was about to get into bed, there was a knock on his bedroom door.

"Who is it?" Tammie asked, towel-drying his hair.

Ann's voice came from the other side. "It's me, Tammie."

"One second, Ann." Tammie quickly threw on a shirt and went to open the door.

Ann stood there holding a glass of milk. "Tammie, I warmed this up for you. A glass of milk before bed helps you sleep. I hope you have a wonderful night's rest."

"Ann, you're so thoughtful!"

She smiled warmly. "That's because you're my family." She then added, "Drink it while it's warm, Tammie. It gets a bit of a funny taste when it cools. I can take the glass to the kitchen when you're done."

"Sure," Tammie nodded and drank the entire glass in one go.

As she watched him finish it, a faint glint appeared in Ann's eyes.

Tammie handed the empty glass back to her. "Thanks for everything, Ann."

"It's what I'm here for, Tammie," she replied with a sweet smile. "Goodnight. I'm heading to bed too."

"Goodnight."

Tammie had been so tired lately that he fell asleep almost the instant his head hit the pillow.

An hour later, Ann stood outside his bedroom door and knocked softly. "Tammie."

"Tammie."

She called his name several times, but there was no response from inside.

A smirk played on her lips.

"Thank you, Miss Templeton. This is another piece of invaluable information."

Ann cut through the pleasantries. "When do I get the rest of my payment?"

Asher slid a bank card across the table to her.

Ann took the card and left without another word.

As soon as he had the drive, Asher rushed back to his office. Mr. Banks was still there.

When Asher pushed open the office door, he saw Mr. Banks standing by the floor-to-ceiling window.

"Mr. Banks!"

Hearing his voice, Mr. Banks spun around. "Well?"

Asher grinned. "I've got it." He handed the USB drive to his boss.

Mr. Banks took it and immediately plugged it into his computer. As soon as he opened the folder, the finalized design drafts filled the screen.

Staring at the magnificent images, Mr. Banks couldn't help but marvel, "That kid, Tammie Gonzales… he really was born for this."

What a shame he was such an idiot, letting something so important fall so easily into Ann's hands.
