The Ex-Wife's Triumph novel Chapter 64

Kingsley returned to the private room and said simply, "I have something to do. Enjoy yourselves."

Everyone hurriedly stood up to see him off. "Mr. Sherwood, take care."

He nodded and turned to leave with Shane.

Just outside the door, they saw Emma leaning by the window, phone raised to photograph the night view.

Catching sight of Kingsley, she immediately put away her phone, a smile curbing her lips. "Mr. Sherwood, Shane."

Kingsley didn't make a sound, nor did he stop.

Shane turned his head and replied, "Enjoying the scenery?"

"Yes, the night view here is nice." As Emma finished speaking, Shane gave a slight nod. "Alright, I'm heading off. Goodbye."

He quickly caught up with Kingsley.

The two went downstairs and headed straight for the parking lot. Once inside the car, Kingsley tapped out a message on his screen and sent it to the group chat: [Come out. Drinks.]

Thurston replied instantly: [Sorry man. Putting my daughter to sleep.]

Immediately after came a voice message from Ethan, teasing with a laugh: [Mr. Thurston, if you can't come out, find a decent excuse. Isn't your father-in-law always watching the kid? Just say Jane won't let you out.]

Thurston replied with a "Get lost," then threw in a video of his daughter, Molly, fast asleep, adding: [Open your eyes and look.]

Kingsley retorted: [Your family is too poor to hire a nanny?]

Thurston fired back: [You don't have kids, so you just wouldn't get it.]

Just as the voice message was sent, Thurston looked up to see Jane standing at the bedroom door.

He immediately smiled, his tone ingratiating. "Finished with work?"

Jane didn't answer. She just looked at him scrutinizingly and asked directly, "Someone asking you out for drinks again?"

Lucy's gaze fell on Tiananmen in the distance. She whispered, "No, living abroad is fine."

"Alright," Wyatt smiled, joking half-heartedly, "When I can't make it here anymore, I'll come to you for refuge."

Lucy turned to look at him and nodded. "Sure. The scenery in Switzerland is beautiful."

While they chatted, Emma circled back with the photographer.

She stopped the bike in front of them, and the photographer immediately brought up the photos and videos for her to select.

Emma looked through them carefully, choosing several photos and finalizing a video.

By the time they finished, it was already 1:00 AM.

Meanwhile, Kingsley had left the club long ago and was sitting in his car.

The streets were empty in the early hours. As his car drove along Capital Avenue, he caught a glimpse of that striking purple figure and the silver hair beside it.
