The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 495

David’s arm locked around Ella’s waist, pressing hard against her stomach. She already felt sick, and the pressure made it worse. She started smacking at his arm, desperate to get free. “Let go of me. You’re hurting my stomach.”

He froze for a second when she said that, his grip going stiff. Then he moved his hand up, no longer touching her belly, and shoved her down into the soft sofa cushions.

Ella tried to sit up, but David pinned her, his hands yanking at her shirt collar. The fabric tore with a sharp sound. Cold air hit her bare shoulder, and she gasped.

David leaned over her, his face pressed into her neck, kissing her skin as he spoke. “Why is it okay for Wyatt, but not for me? Ella, why are you treating me like this?”

She wanted to scream that question right back at him. Why was he the one doing this to her? He could be with Jessa, no problem, but she couldn’t be with Wyatt. Where was the fairness in that? How could he stand by Jessa and still come storming into Ella’s apartment, forcing himself on her? What did he expect her to be?

Ella fought back, struggling as hard as she could. “David, get off me. Don’t touch me. Let go.”

He kept pulling at her clothes, his other hand fumbling with his belt. “Ella, I want you. Isn’t this what you want, to help Wyatt? If you sleep with me, Wyatt won’t have it so bad.”

David shoved her legs apart.

Ella’s eyes burned red with tears.

“David. David, I don’t want to regret loving you.”

Her words made him freeze. His whole body went stiff. He looked down at her, and for the first time, he seemed to really see her. Ella was crying, her small face streaked with tears, hair tangled, clothes torn. She looked completely shattered.

David felt just as lost. He’d lost control, and only now was his mind starting to clear. When had he become the kind of man who would force a girl like this?
