Charlotte shot him a look. "Marcus is Wesley and Laura's only son. Marcus is with Nattie right now, so if you call Wesley away, who's going to run Holden Group? Don't even think about inviting them. Wait until Marcus and Nat return. I'll hold you responsible if you interfere with Nat's trip."

William immediately fell silent.

Charlotte smiled and added, "We don't need to invite them. We can go on our own. Before we travel, though, I still need to have a chat with Sky about some things. You don't need to worry about it."

"Alright." William nodded. "I'll get everything ready, so you talk to Sky."

After Sky dropped Kayla off that evening, Charlotte called him into the dining room.

"Sky, sit down," Charlotte said.

"Yes, Mother," Sky responded, taking a seat.

Charlotte gracefully brewed some tea and poured him a cup.

"I asked you here because I want to have a casual chat with you," Charlotte began. "Do you know why I had you accompany me to Hawthorne Hill today?"

Sky replied, "You were worried about me, and after praying, you went to give thanks. I'm sorry for making you and Father worry."

Charlotte smiled. "That wasn't the only reason. Do you remember who we ran into on Hawthorne Hill?"

Sky thought for a moment. "Ms. Parham."

Charlotte clapped her hands. "That's right. Ever since your incident, Ms. Parham has been going to Hawthorne Hill every Sunday. She's been praying for you at the chapel there. Every week, she asked for your early release and hoped your suffering would end soon. I knew she was doing this, so I asked you to come with me today. Sure enough, we ran into her."

She paused before continuing, "Sky, I know Kayla is just your secretary, and in the past, she never showed any interest in you. But after your incident, her actions showed me that she likes you."

Sky's expression remained unchanged as he quietly listened.

Charlotte continued, "Sky, I don't want to play matchmaker, but I do want to tell you about Kayla's feelings. If you also have feelings for her, maybe it's worth exploring."

She took a sip of tea, then added, "Your father says we shouldn't interfere with fate and feelings, and I agree. I'm not trying to interfere. I just think you should know what Kayla has done for you.
