IRIS.
I was not able to talk to the Alpha again while we ate lunch with Beta Roman and Delta Liam. They were discussing things about his territory, and they were mostly things I didn’t understand, so I just listened to them, especially since it was Alpha Draco who did most of the talking.
I also heard them talking briefly about Constantine. From what I understood, he needed to vacate the warehouse he was renting from Alpha Draco, and he had to leave that area at the end of this week. I wanted to ask why because I thought he gave the land in exchange for me, but I didn’t have the confidence to ask, so I just swallowed my curiosity.
After lunch, they left the house, leaving me with nothing to do. So I spent the rest of the day helping with various tasks around the house. I even offered to clean the Alpha’s room, but I was told he didn’t want anyone in there. He would usually allow only one Omega to clean it twice a week and was very particular about what needed to be cleaned and what was not allowed to be touched.
So I planned to ask him if he would let me, as I was sure I knew how to keep my hands off things that were off-limits. Just the thought alone that I would be able to step into his room excited me, so I hoped he’d let me.
The rest of the day went slowly. I had hoped to see the Alpha by dinner, but he didn’t come home early. I had already showered when I saw his car entering the grounds, so I kept my lights on and waited, hoping he would check on me. Not seeing him for many hours made me miss him.
I had been sitting at the end of my bed for an hour, and there was no sign of him. Even though turning off the lights and going to bed was the proper thing to do, the desire to see him was stronger. So I grabbed my robe and pulled it on before picking up the ointment from my dresser, holding it tightly as I walked out of my room toward his.
I stood in front of his door for a few seconds before I finally had the courage to knock. After exhaling deeply, I clenched my fists and lightly tapped my knuckles on his door.
Three knocks and I heard nothing. I waited for another five seconds, and when the door didn’t open, I turned around, only to bump into the Alpha’s strong and hard body.
“Alpha!” I gasped as I stepped backward. My eyes widened as my back slammed against his door.
“Just one set of knocking and you just gave up…”
“I… I…” I stuttered. “I assume you must be asleep already.”
“Do you need anything from me?”
“I.. I…” I stuttered again. I had no idea why I felt like burning with the way he was looking at me. “Want to…”
“Do you want to have sex?” He asked as his forehead creased.
I shook my head, a little too much, and I felt my cheeks burning.
Alpha Draco chuckled, inserting his hands in his pockets and throwing his head back as he laughed more. The sound of his laughter echoed along the corridor, and it made me bite my bottom lip, my face getting hotter.
“Damn it, Iris. I like it when I make you blush.” He said when he cut himself from laughing more before he raised his hand and his knuckles ran along my cheek. “You should be sleeping. I need someone who is fully awake to accompany me tomorrow.”
