**Chapter 703: Laboratories of the Undead**
“Could I even stay away? You’ve already brought this war to our doorstep.”
The old man’s expression softened, a gentle smile gracing his lips as if he were speaking to a child. “That’s not war, my dear. That’s merely helping you evolve.”

“Bullshit evolution!” Theresa’s voice rose, her eyes igniting with fury. “Your twisted idea of evolution is nothing more than turning the entire world into zombies! Billions of lives at stake! How dare you!” The words tumbled out of her mouth like stones, each one heavy with indignation.
“Have you ever looked at the stars?” the old man countered, deftly dodging the weight of her accusation.
Theresa furrowed her brow, caught off guard by the abrupt shift in conversation. But as she gazed upward, the sky transformed before her eyes. The vast expanse of stars stretched infinitely above, twinkling like diamonds scattered across black velvet. The ground beneath her shimmered, morphing into a glistening river of stars that flowed into the abyss.
Beneath her feet, the familiar blue globe of Earth materialized, hovering like a delicate ornament in the cosmos.
For a fleeting moment, she felt weightless, as if she were suspended in the void of space, watching her home spin gracefully beneath her.
“If you’ve ever been to a space station, you would grasp just how small Earth truly is,” the old man continued, his voice calm and unwavering. “The universe is a vast expanse, beyond what any human can fathom. Earth is but a mere speck, and the inhabitants upon it? Even smaller, fragile, and utterly insignificant.”
As if to illustrate his point, the Earth began to shrink beneath her, a tiny blue dot engulfed by the encroaching darkness. Massive, imposing planets emerged from the shadows—Jupiter, with its swirling storms; Saturn, adorned with its magnificent rings; the Sun, blazing with fiery intensity; and the sprawling arms of the Milky Way, a celestial dance of light and darkness.
“But so what?” Theresa retorted, her voice tinged with defiance.
With a flick of his wrist, the old man summoned the blue light of Earth back into view. The planet swelled before her, expanding endlessly, filling her vision with its vibrant colors. Every screen around her mirrored the scene with such precision that she felt as though she were truly there—plunging through clouds, soaring over continents and islands that gradually revealed themselves.
Then came the endless oceans. She was swept along with the all-seeing camera, diving deep into the expansive sea below, where an infinite stretch of blue awaited her.
Schools of fish darted past, glimmering in the water’s embrace. The light ahead dimmed, shadows creeping in as the water darkened, yet the ocean floor remained elusive, hidden from her sight.
