“Just as you cannot yet understand the future civilization of zombies, it is laughable for human ants to remain so confident in their own significance.”

Theresa listened to his words, stunned into silence.

At the sight of her silence, Decision Maker One’s smile grew even warmer. “Our mission is to help zombies achieve their initial stage of evolution. We welcome exceptional individuals like you to join us and help usher in a new, brilliant civilization, Number 7913.”

Upon hearing that final number, Theresa remained silent for three seconds, then lifted her head. “When do we start?”

Her straightforward response left One momentarily taken aback.

His aged eyes studied her carefully.

For a fleeting moment, he seemed to doubt her, but when they met her bright, unwavering gaze, he smiled. “You truly are not a backward, ignorant human. If you are willing, I will arrange your path to evoluti without delay.”

“Wait,” Theresa interrupted. “If I become a zombie, does that mean I’d be the king?”

“Of course,” One said. “You would be the Starborn Order’s greatest creation, and we will spare no effort to make you the strongest king.

“That means you need to call everyone here. I have to evolve in front of all of you. You’ll all have to welcome your king.”

“Very well. Within three days, I will have everyone in position.” Decision Maker One’s ancient eyes flickered as he looked at her. “Ten, take our future king to a room to rest.”

With that, his figure shimmered in the air, and the hologram vanished.

After he left, Sage looked at Theresa with a complicated expression. “Are you really sure about this?”

“Of course I am,” she replied. “This is an incredible opportunity. I’ll be contributing to civilization—and I’ll be the king of a new one. Why wouldn’t I do it?”

Sage led her to one of the rooms. “You’ll rest here.”

Theresa looked around the clean, neatly arranged suite. The space included a large living room, a bathroom, a bedroom, and even an expansive balcony with a view.

Of course, the view was still entirely a holographic projection.
