“Would it really change anything between us if I…..” Eizlina couldn't even dare to complete those words of hers because she was terrified of even saying this to him. This game of push and pull had started scaring her so much that she had started feeling frightened of getting closer to anyone.
All of this was hurting her so much that she could not even describe it through her words with the fear no one was ever going to understand, just like no one had ever tried to understand her. But still…a part in her heart was holding that belief inside it that this man would understand her. That this man had already started understanding her, more than anyone had ever tried to comprehend her and her emotions, and she herself didn't know why she was feeling like this.
Why was that belief igniting inside her regarding him?
Eizlina saw him gritting his teeth at her words. He took a couple of steps closer to her and stood right in front of her. She witnessed him lowering his head in her direction where their faces got so close to each other that their breathings started tangling.
Their eyes collided with each other, uncovering those dozens of emotions which they both had been feeling at that moment, but their mouths didn't dare to speak about them because their hearts were hoping for both of them to read their silent emotions.
Eizlina saw his eyes roaming all over her face for a brief moment of time. And then his gaze stopped at her moistened eyes. He peered into her eyes, but then suddenly she saw something shifting in his gaze.
Wrath burnt in his eyes, like he recalled something that had left him with nothing but pain and anger.
“Even if you would get on your knees and will beg me to take you right here right now, it still won't change anything between us, Eizlina Witner,” he uttered through his gritted teeth while glowering into her glossy eyes which pricked with more tears when she heard those venomous words coming out of his mouth for her.
She knew he was saying such immoral things to her because of what she had told him to do this morning. He was taking out his anger on her by using his cruel choice of words to hurt her.
“It…. won't…. change…. anything,” he repeated, stressing on every word. Her eyes blurred with tears, not just only from pain but rage too. She clenched her jaw.
“Really? Then why does this anger you if I didn't let you touch me….?” She spat at him, fearlessly. He chewed on his inner cheek. Eizlina aggressively hitted his naked chest with her palm, in order to take her rage out at him.
She couldn't just take it anymore. She didn't know what was hurting her so much. The fact that he had accepted her condition of not getting closer to her again or it was because he had started making her feel like she didn't matter to him anymore? She didn't know what had changed. All she knew was that it was hurting her extremely badly.
“If nothing is ever going to change between us then why are you so enraged if I have not allowed you to come closer to me?” She shouted at him, hitting him again on his shoulder this time.
He curled his fists at her question because he had his answers, but he was not going to reveal it to her as he believed she was never going to understand them.
“Why are you so angry if I have refused to accept you? Why, Theron Elzaek….? WHY?” she screamed at him, while attempting to hit him with her hand which was wounded.
A yelp of pain came from her mouth when she felt her palm clenching in pain as soon as it hitted against his body. He immediately held her wrist and took a look at her hand. Her carelessness made him clench his jaw.
Snapping his head in her direction, he let go off her hand.
“Get out of my room right now,” he warned her in his malicious tone, but she aggressively shook her head.
“No,” more tears threatened to fall from her eyes.
“I will not go anywhere from here without receiving my answers. I will go nowhere. Did you understand that?” She shouted at him. He grinded his teeth, and unable to control his anger, he lifted his hand up to wrap it around her waist but stopped in the middle when he remembered her words.
Eizlina looked down towards his extended hand, and this brought more tears in her eyes, realising his warmth was not embracing her anymore.
He had completely abandoned her, just like her each and every closed and loved one.
He had also left her.
Tears streamed down from her eyes, which didn't go unnoticed by him. He took a step closer to her, eliminating the rational distance between their bodies.
“Why this pain if I am not touching you, Eizlina?” He asked her in his densely calm voice. Eizlina slowly trailed her eyes in his direction and saw that menacing madness burning in his gaze, which was asking her that same exact thing which she had dared to question him about.
“Why this pain when I have refused to pull you in my arms?” This question felt like a violent hit on her soul. It pained her awfully, which forced her to reveal it in front of him in the form of her anger.
