The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 892

Seeing the resolve in Danielle's eyes, Kirsten gently patted the back of her hand and said no more. There were no absolute rights or wrongs in love, only choices. She respected Danielle's decision and trusted that this clear-headed, independent woman would find her own way.

When the car pulled up to Danielle's apartment building, Kirsten smiled. "Call me anytime. Don't try to carry everything on your own."

Danielle nodded, then opened the car door and headed inside. The moment she opened her front door, a tiny figure flung herself into her arms, her voice thick with childish tears. "Mommy! You're finally back! Niki missed you so much!"

Danielle knelt and hugged her daughter tightly, a lump forming in her throat. The nanny stood by, smiling. "I picked Niki up yesterday after I heard you were coming back. She's been asking for you for days."

That evening, Niki clung to Danielle's side. Even as she drifted off to sleep, she held onto her mother's arm, murmuring, "Mommy, please don't leave again. Niki will be a good girl."

Danielle gently stroked her daughter's back and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Mommy's not going anywhere. I'll be here with you from now on."

She turned to see Harold holding a glass of champagne, a wry smile on his face. He swirled his drink, his tone probing. "I heard you and President Davidson were once married. He's quite a man, isn't he? To be able to send his own brother to prison… not everyone is capable of such cold-bloodedness."

Danielle gave him a cool look. "Mr. Chapman, you shouldn't judge what you don't fully understand. You don't know Alexander, and you don't know the Davidsons' family matters. There's no need to pass judgment based on your own speculation."

Harold's smile faltered for a second before he composed himself and raised his glass in a mock toast. "My apologies for being so forward, Miss Crawford. Please don't take it to heart." With that, he turned and walked away.
