Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 320

Eleanor froze, caught off guard for a moment before snapping back to her senses. “Nora, what on earth is wrong with you?”

She’d had enough. With a forceful shove, Eleanor pushed Nora away.

Nora stumbled backwards. She would have hit the floor hard if someone hadn’t caught her just in time.

Looking up, she met Daniel’s eyes.

Daniel’s expression was icy as his gaze swept over to Eleanor.

Eleanor faltered under his stare, pointing at Nora defensively. “She started it! I just— I didn’t mean to push her.”

She knew just how much Daniel cherished Nora. That was the only reason Eleanor had tried to hold back at first. But Nora had pushed and pushed, as if she truly wanted to tear her apart.

Daniel pulled the pillow from Nora’s hands and tossed it aside. “Aurora.”

He’d come after hearing from the housekeeper that Nora was here. He’d wanted to take her home with him, but she hadn’t been in her room. Then a nurse had mentioned a fight breaking out in the ward, and he’d rushed over—thankfully, just in time.

Nora’s eyes never left Daniel’s face. Her voice was cold, almost chilling.

“She destroyed Una’s hand.”

Eleanor instinctively shrank back, guilt flickering across her face—though only for a moment. After all, they didn’t have any proof.

She tried to sound wronged. “Nora, do you have any evidence?”

Nora shot back, her voice sharp with hatred. “Who else could it have been?”

Only Eleanor was capable of something so cruel.

“Who knows who she might’ve crossed?” Eleanor scoffed, refusing to admit anything. “Just don’t blame everything on me.”

“You—”

“Aurora, that’s enough.” Daniel drew Nora into his arms. “Do you realize you could have seriously hurt yourself just now?”

Nora laughed bitterly and pushed him away. “So, you’re going to protect her again, aren’t you?”

Daniel’s brow furrowed. “What happened to Una’s hand?”

Nora’s voice broke as she answered, “Her right hand was shattered... She’ll never be able to write again.”

Eleanor let out a shaky breath. “Nora can’t just blame everything on me.”

“Are you really not responsible?” Daniel’s words hung in the air as he followed Nora out of the room.

It was a question—but sounded far more like an accusation.

Eleanor pressed her lips together, feeling a cold chill settle over her. She could hear it in Daniel’s voice. He didn’t believe her.

He was siding with Nora now.

If Nora really did come back demanding her hand, Daniel would let it happen.

The more Eleanor thought about it, the more afraid—and furious—she became.

Why should Nora steal Daniel’s affection? Eleanor was his real sister, the Chambers family’s only daughter. What right did Nora have to judge her, to demand she pay?

Nora was nothing but a pregnant interloper...

Eleanor dug her nails deep into her palm.
