Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 183

Since the boys were born, Drusilla hadn't dared to let herself fall ill. With two kids at home relying on her, if she were to get sick, who would take care of them?

Sometimes, when she couldn't help but catch a cold, she'd just grab whatever over-the-counter meds she could find and try to sleep it off.

Who had ever taken care of her like this?

At this moment, seeing Enoch's concerned look, perhaps because she was sick and feeling more fragile than usual, she felt a warm sensation in her heart.

She bit her lip, whispering, "You go on and do your thing; I'll be fine here."

"I'm done with my things."

Drusilla couldn't believe it. "Are you really that free?"

Enoch glanced at her, not agreeing with her statement, "I stayed to take care of you because you're sick. How is that being free?"

"You don't need to look after me. I'll be fine!"

Enoch sat in his wheelchair, looking at Drusilla with a complex expression.

Drusilla felt uncomfortable under his gaze and said, "Really, go on with your work!"

However, Enoch didn't leave.

Soon after, Cybele brought up some food. As she appeared at the door with lunch, Drusilla frowned. The greasy smell made her nauseous.

She had never felt this bad with a cold before. Usually, she could still enjoy her meals after taking some medicine, but today she had no appetite at all.

Enoch didn't miss her subtle reaction and told Cybele, "Bring her something light to eat."

"Right away," Cybele responded. Quickly, she brought Drusilla a bowl of broth, a light soup, and some simple side dishes.

This time it looked much more appetizing.

"Go ahead and eat," Enoch said.

Drusilla looked at him, asking, "Aren't you eating?"

Harlan had pressured her to terminate a pregnancy, but she refused, leading to their divorce...

Years later, these events still haunted her in her nightmares.

Enoch sat by her side, watching her frown and tremble in her sleep.

Sick as she was, she looked paler and more worn than usual. Her hair, damp with sweat, gave her a pitiful appearance.

He couldn't tell what she was dreaming about, but it seemed to frighten her.

He reached out, holding her hand, trying to calm her down.

Oberon was also there, watching how Enoch took such good care of Drusilla. He had never seen Enoch take care of anyone; it was always the other way around...

Seeing him so concerned for a woman, Oberon began to wonder if Enoch might actually have feelings for Drusilla.

Given his admiration for Enoch, Oberon always thought the women Enoch liked would be of the highest caliber, perfectly matched to him.
