Colton was nothing like Cormac; while Cormac was everyone's darling, Colton had eyes only for Drusilla. He'd share his stuff only with Drusilla. As for the rest? He couldn’t care less.
All eyes were usually on Colton, and now, by extension, on Drusilla.
Lilith frowned, irritated. Why did Colton treat Drusilla so favorably when he barely acknowledged her? "Aunt Drusilla, look how sweet Colton is to you! Kids are just so innocent and pure. Shame you were against them coming over at first!"
Drusilla, in her opinion, didn’t deserve Colton's kindness.
But Drusilla, unbothered by Lilith's disdain, gratefully accepted a piece of cake from Colton. "Thanks, Colton."
Colton glanced at Drusilla, a small smile playing on his lips, and sat down next to her, clinging close.
Lilith, witnessing this, felt her blood boil.
Why should Drusilla, of all people, win Colton's affection? It was outrageous!
Holding the piece of cake her son had given her, Drusilla smiled softly.
Blythe, observing quietly, commented to Drusilla, "Looks like Colton's really fond of you."
Drusilla chuckled, "Maybe because we've spent more time together."
Blythe then asked, "Enoch, when the kids come over next time, will Drusilla be looking after them?"
Enoch nodded, "Yes."
