Just like that, all of Harlan's gloom for the day vanished into thin air.
Harlan quickly wrapped up his work and drove back to the Taylor residence.
...
Enoch and Drusilla returned home with their two kids in tow.
No sooner had she stepped out of the car, she saw Blythe and Lilith waiting at the doorstep.
Lilith greeted, "Aunt Drusilla."
She made a point to greet Drusilla, appearing all polite, but there was a hint of schadenfreude in her demeanor.
Drusilla, too, exchanged greetings with Blythe and Lilith.
Catching Drusilla's composed face, Lilith smirked, thinking, “Let's see how long you can keep up this act!”
Colton and Cormac hopped out of the car and instantly became the center of attention.
Blythe's smile could almost reach her ears as she saw her grandsons, exclaiming, "Colton, Cormac, welcome back! Grandma has missed you so much."
Though she could catch glimpses of the little guys on video calls, having them back home meant the world to her.
After all, they could now stay at the Taylor residence! She no longer had to worry about Verena being too busy with work to look after them.
Cormac greeted Blythe with a sweet, "Hi, Grandma."
Blythe laughed, "You, my boy, always know how to charm."
Colton stood aside, his demeanor chilly, and Lilith simply said, "Colton."
She was already used to Colton's aloofness. Getting even a glance from him felt like an honor, a trait he seemed to have inherited from Enoch!
As a mother, Drusilla felt a surge of contentment seeing her children being warmly welcomed.
Without paying much attention to Enoch, Blythe led the kids inside.
