Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 222

Upstairs, Drusilla looked at Colton and asked, “Why did you throw something at Harlan?”

Although she wasn't fond of Harlan, Drusilla still didn't want Colton to behave like that.

Colton pursed his lips. “I can't stand him!”

Cormac came over and added, “Me neither. He pushed Colton earlier and made you upset.”

Drusilla looked at the two boys and said, “Let's not resort to throwing things, okay? Let's go see your dad.”

After hearing Drusilla’s words, Cormac left the room.

Drusilla turned back to see Colton still standing there and asked, “Colton?”

“I don’t wanna go,” Colton muttered.

“Why?” Drusilla was puzzled.

“I just don’t like him!”

He was the one who bad-mouthed Mom!

Drusilla remembered how Colton had taken back something he had given to Enoch earlier that day and cracked a smile, “You sure hold a grudge, little man!”

Since Colton didn’t want to go, Drusilla took Cormac to Enoch’s room.

Compared to Colton, Cormac was a bit more eager to see Enoch.

Holding Cormac’s hand, Drusilla heard him ask, “Mom, does Dad not like me?”

“Why would you think that?” Drusilla looked down at him, “You’re so adorable. How could Dad not like you?”

“But in the car today, he didn’t talk to me at all.”

Drusilla coughed, remembering how cold Enoch had been. But he was similar to Colton in that way; perhaps it was just his nature. Maybe he didn’t know how to react since it was his first time meeting the kids!

Drusilla said, “That’s not it. He’s just not much of a talker. Just think of him as a silent version of Colton.”

“Okay then.”

Drusilla couldn’t help but laugh at her son’s behavior. She looked at Enoch, who still had a stern face, but with a slight smile at the corners of his mouth, it was clear he was pleased.

Drusilla teased, “Enoch, got a case of the poker face, huh?”

“Absolutely not.” Enoch glared at her in mock annoyance.

Drusilla didn't push further, looking at Cormac, she said, “Cormac, you stay here with your dad. I’ll go check on Colton.”

“Where’s Colton?” Enoch asked, noticing Colton wasn’t there.

Drusilla replied, “He said he didn’t want to see you, so he didn’t come.”

Enoch frowned, puzzled by that revelation.

Drusilla had already left the room.

In the room, Enoch picked up his book again, continuing to read, while Cormac, having gotten over his shyness, looked up at Enoch, moved closer, and sat down beside him on the couch, asking, “Dad, what are you reading?”
