Enoch glanced at the clock and declared, "I'm not coming home tonight!"
Drusilla asked, "Not even for dinner?"
Enoch remained silent.
Drusilla mentioned, "I heard Odette's back?"
At the mention of the name, Enoch seemed visibly repulsed.
Seeing his reluctance to discuss it, Drusilla said, "I'll head home then."
She had hoped for a chat, but it was clear he didn't need her company.
After leaving, she went straight home.
Before she could even step inside, she heard Odette talking to Hestia, "Mom, I'm starving."
Hestia's voice was laced with indulgence despite a hint of exasperation, "What are you, reborn as a bottomless pit? Hold on!"
She decided to make her something to eat.
Odette sat on the couch, scrolling through TikTok on her phone.
Drusilla walked in.
Odette's expression stiffened at the sight of Drusilla, but quickly, a mocking smile appeared, "If it isn't my dear sister? Long time no see! How have you been?"
Without responding, Drusilla took a seat across from her.
Odette had become quite attractive and slimmed down a lot recently.
She ran her fingers through her hair, eyeing Drusilla's plain, cheap-looking clothes.
After sizing her up, Odette teased, "Is this the sister I used to know? What have you done to yourself? So, marrying into the Taylor family didn't improve your wardrobe?"
Wasn't Lilith supposed to keep it from Uncle?
Betrayed already?
As she got up to leave, Drusilla suddenly grabbed her. Odette was furious, "What are you doing?"
"Why run?" Did she think she could escape again?
Drusilla wouldn't give her the chance.
Soon, Enoch entered in a wheelchair with Oberon following behind. Their presence in the Lawson family's living room seemed out of place.
Seeing Drusilla, Oberon paused, puzzled to find her there.
Enoch's gaze fixed on Odette, "You've finally returned!"
