Serge was just hanging around when the teacher spotted him. Noticing the man's tall and handsome stature, she turned to Drusilla and asked, “Is this Colton and Cormac's dad?”
She had never met Enoch, although he had been to the school before, he always stayed in the car.
He had mobility issues, so he had never made an appearance in front of the teachers.
At this moment, seeing Serge, it was natural for the teacher to wonder if he was the children's father.
After all, it would take some pretty impressive genes to produce kids as remarkable as Colton and Cormac, right?
Hearing the teacher's question, Drusilla felt a bit embarrassed, “No, this is my friend and a senior from when I was in college. He happened to be in town and said he wanted to come and see the kids.”
“Oh, I see! Sorry, my mistake.” The teacher smiled and walked away.
Drusilla took the two kids by the hand, glanced at Serge, and felt a bit awkward after the teacher's comment.
She introduced him to Colton and Cormac, “This is Mr. Denton.”
“Hello, Mr. Denton,” Cormac said politely.
Colton also looked at Serge, a bit standoffish, debating whether or not to speak.
Serge looked at the two kids, who were the spitting image of Enoch, and said, “Hello.”
He couldn't help but marvel at the wonder of genetics – they really did look just like Enoch!
Drusilla led the kids out from backstage, with Serge following. Backstage, several performers came up to Serge, greeting him, “Dr. Denton.”
“Hey.”
In no time, Serge was surrounded.
Although Drusilla wasn't much for celebrity gossip, she and her friend Verena would catch up on TV shows from time to time. She could tell these were some pretty famous faces, all of whom seemed quite familiar with Serge.
