Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 329

"Althea?" Althea's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Drusilla. What was she talking about?

Drusilla took a sip from her glass of water and said, "Haven't you noticed? Mr. Taylor is giving you a golden opportunity! How can you be so blind, just fussing over pouring tea and serving drinks? Being with Enoch for one night could set your future in Hollywood. So, take off your dress and make him happy!"

Althea looked towards Enoch and then back at Drusilla, "Ma'am, please stop joking!"

She seriously doubted Drusilla was playing a cruel joke on her!

Drusilla pressed on, "What, not taking it off? Seems like you're looking down on Mr. Taylor because of his disability."

She said this on purpose.

Althea couldn't bear such an accusation, and being close to Enoch, she could feel his discomfort.

She quickly said, "No, I didn't mean that."

"Then take off your dress. I'll give you five seconds," Drusilla sat back, tapping her fingers on the table, counting down each second. Althea stood up, looking at Enoch, unsure of what to do. She hesitantly started to undress...

Enoch, sitting in his chair, couldn't believe Drusilla was making Althea strip!

His wife was actually letting another woman undress in front of him!

He had indeed married quite the woman!

Caught between the couple's feud, Althea fumbled with her clothes, too scared to continue, yet too afraid to stop, sweating from the stress.

Until Enoch spoke up, "Leave."

Althea, relieved by Enoch's command, quickly fixed her dress and said, "I'll be going then."

Life sure was complicated!

He huffed and looked away, "I just wanted you to know, if you don't cherish me, others will."

His words were tinged with resentment.

It started with him crossing the line, yet now, it seemed as if she was the one mistreating him.

She faced Enoch, saying, "What do you mean I don't cherish you? Be reasonable! Enoch, tell me, when have I ever made you feel less because of your disability?"

She believed she had been more than good to him!

Enoch scoffed, "Haven't you? That day at the Lawson family gathering, what did you say to Odette? Do I disgust you that much?"

"I explained it to you then; that wasn't what I meant. I just... didn't want to be Odette's excuse for rejecting you! She didn't want to marry you and used me as a shield. That's why I said what I did."

"You want a divorce... to be with Serge."
