He stared at Drusilla, anger simmering since yesterday. All day today, he had been stewing in his own frustration. Yet, at this moment, that kiss seemed to soothe his chaotic thoughts instantly.
His hand remained behind him, and Drusilla hadn't moved. Reflecting on the moment, she couldn't fathom what had driven her actions.
But sometimes, you just go for it!
She liked him...
Seeing her silence, Enoch worried she might accuse him of bullying or disrespecting her again. Eager to salvage his pride, he added, “You initiated it!”
But who could blame me!
Hearing his words, Drusilla's lips twitched. Just as she was basking in the warmth of their embrace, this man had to kill the mood!
“Yes, I initiated it, okay? But weren’t you fully into it too?” she retorted.
After all, he was the one setting the pace throughout.
Enoch didn't argue further.
He looked at Drusilla, his hand involuntarily moving to caress her cheek with his slender fingers gently.
His gaze was tender, filled with adoration. Drusilla almost forgot the nature of their relationship at that moment.
It seemed like no time had passed when the car suddenly stopped. Looking out the window, Drusilla realized they had arrived at the Taylor residence.
That was quick?
It felt like just a brief moment had passed.
Well, the roads were clear at night, making the journey swift.
She pushed the man in front of her, saying, “We’re here. I’ll get out first.”
With that, she opened the car door and stepped out. Enoch, still inside, watched her, wishing he could follow. But then he remembered his current state, confined to a wheelchair.
