Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 334

Baxter listened as she started calling him Dad. A small smile played on his lips. "Alright, off to bed with you," he said, after speaking his mind. Then, he stood up and walked out of the room.

Drusilla watched his retreating figure, a smile tugging at her lips. Initially, she thought Baxter's dad was a formidable figure, but after spending some time around him, she realized he wasn't so bad after all!

As Drusilla left the side room, she noticed Blythe had already gone upstairs, leaving only Enoch in the living room.

Seeing her, Enoch's gaze fell on her, filled with concern. "What did my dad say?"

Drusilla's face was serious as she looked at him.

Seeing her expression, Enoch asked, "Did he scold you again?"

He knew about the issues Drusilla had with Harlan and, although he trusted Drusilla wouldn't cheat, he was aware his parents might not share the same sentiment.

In this household, he was genuinely worried she might be mistreated.

And it frustrated him. Despite being infuriated by this woman, he constantly found himself concerned about her.

When had Enoch ever tolerated such indignities?

Drusilla asked, "Where's your mom?"

"She went to check on the kids."

Colton and Cormac were already upstairs.

Blythe was particularly attentive to her grandsons these days, often ensuring they were asleep before she could relax.

"Oh," Drusilla replied.

She walked over to Enoch. "Let's head upstairs. We haven't done your acupuncture for today."

Hearing her still concerned about his health, Enoch huffed, "Didn't you say you were going to hand me over to Raymond?"

His tone sounded sullen, unhappy.

Drusilla coughed lightly, "I said tomorrow."

"You did pay me!" Drusilla said. "But following you around every day, I don't even have time to spend the money. Don't you find that funny?"

"..." Enoch snorted, turning his head away. "Others would kill for the chance to be with me every day!"

"So, I should thank you?" Drusilla urged, "Come on, get your acupuncture done. I'm exhausted and need to sleep."

Hearing Drusilla's words, Enoch agreed.

The two of them took the elevator upstairs from the living room.

Drusilla accompanied him back to his room, and as she looked at Enoch, she realized how little time she had left for her baby since meeting him.

Before Enoch, her baby was the center of her life...

Now, her days were consumed with worries about whether he was taking care of himself or if he had gone out drinking again!

Drusilla told Enoch, "Rest up, I'm going to wash my face."
