"What time is it, and she's thinking about hitting the hay early!"
The last thing she wanted was to stick around here, trading sweet nothings with him.
Enoch couldn't take his mind off that kiss they shared moments ago - it was fleeting, yet it lingered, captivating his every thought.
How could he even begin to describe her?
She had him wrapped around her finger!
It was all her doing, yet now she acted as if nothing had happened!
As if it all was just his imagination, which was utterly maddening.
Drusilla came over, performing acupuncture on Enoch.
After bustling about for a good forty minutes, she finally finished up.
Lifting her gaze to him, she asked, "Did you try to stand up and walk on your own today?"
Hearing her question, Enoch responded, "Yeah."
Given yesterday's attempt, he had indeed given it a go whenever he found a spare moment.
But deep down...
He was determined not to be looked down upon!
Sometimes, it's sheer stubbornness that unlocks our true potential.
He looked at Drusilla, asking, "Do you think my legs will recover?"
"Of course," Drusilla replied confidently. "I've never doubted it for a second."
Despite not always showing her true feelings, Enoch trusted her completely on this matter.
"How long do you think it'll take?" he inquired further.
"Let's wait for Raymond to check on you tomorrow, and we'll discuss it further. Don't worry, you're already doing so much better than when I first met you!"
Drusilla handed him a glass of water, "Have some water, and then we can get you cleaned up."
Upon hearing she would assist him with his bath, Enoch obediently drank the water.
She wheeled him into the bathroom.
