Drusilla's heart skipped a beat when she heard Enoch's voice, bringing back the memory of Lilith's recent trip to the hospital. It seemed Enoch was out of the loop. "Lilith had a nasty fall down the stairs today. Had to rush her to the hospital," she said.

"Is it serious?" Enoch's concern was palpable.

He had mentioned last night that he'd come for her today.

As Drusilla got into the car, she saw her father sitting inside. "Dad."

Leander glanced at her, and as Merrick closed the door and got in himself, they drove off.

"Why did you come? You should be resting at home with your health," Drusilla said to her father.
