Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 349

"...stop guilt-tripping me," Drusilla snapped. "Do I even have a place in this house anymore? Everything here is for you and Mom to enjoy. I haven't gotten anything out of it. So, whether we go bankrupt or not, it really doesn't matter to me."

Odette sure had the gift of the gab!

She might as well be working for them at this rate!

Watching Drusilla, Odette stood up, exasperated, "I can't even deal with you right now."

She stormed out, unable to stand the sight of Drusilla any longer.

Knowing full well she couldn't win this argument!

But...

No matter what, marrying into the Taylor family was out of the question!

Drusilla watched Odette leave without following her. She didn't go inside, instead taking a seat on the nearby couch.

Soon, Hestia emerged from the bedroom, not as teary as before, probably because she had just threatened to do something drastic, and their father had coddled her.

Hestia knew how to play their father like a fiddle, which didn't surprise Drusilla in the least.

Catching sight of Drusilla, Hestia didn't greet her as usual, her eyes flashing with cold indifference.

That witch!

She wasn't going to let today's events slide just like that.

When Hestia went downstairs, Leander finally came out of his room.

Seeing Drusilla, he approached her.

"How is she?" Drusilla inquired.

Leander sighed, "She's been my life partner, after all."

Drusilla knew her father was a man of sentiment. She smiled, "Dad, if Odette doesn't want to come back, let it be. I'll handle things at home."

She didn't want to see her father torn over this.

"No," Drusilla replied. "I still have some unfinished business. Once that's done, I'll deal with the divorce. Don't worry, Enoch has been quite good to me. He's not as terrible as you think."

His hatred for the Lawson family was all because of Odette.

That didn't make Enoch a bad person.

On the contrary, he had helped her a lot.

Drusilla always remembered the good deeds done to her and repaid them when she could.

For now, she at least hoped he would get better.

Odette, with her lowly ways, had no class, yet acted all high and mighty in front of him, as if Enoch couldn't live without her.

Odette? Please.

"I think he's just dragging this out," Leander said. "He promised to divorce you as soon as Odette returned, but now? Drusilla, you're just too naive. Don't let others deceive you!"
